Sounds like the story of my first love... I ended up marrying someone else bc the families (and even the guy) claimed he wasn't "marriage material" and I was considered too young, so nothing physical ever happened between us even though he was one of the most romantic guys I've ever met.
The hubbie (now ex hubbie) I've written about before, so I won't bore you with that. A cruel sort of guy. I was still too young and untested to know what a genuinely good. guy was as opposed to a selfish PUA with the right words.
The boyfriend... VERY romantic and protective sort of fellow... his mom whisked him away into an arranged marriage, pissed that he had chosen "a divorcee" as his bride. He's divorced now and the mom sees me regularly... we're actually friends, though I never talk to her son...
The church guy... This was a very storybook kind of connection. I liked him, he liked me... we're older... I know his family (a complicated bunch of people)... I know some of his friends (who are shady sorts, so I started to second guess things)... the timing was perhaps off and I think we've officially run the gamut on a potential relationship. Was (is) it love? Yeah, I think it is... bc even when we're both silent towards each other there's caring and concern when we see one another... Will anything happen? Who knows. But for now I'm protecting my peace and standing back.
We met online, instantly bonded and talked online for 6 weeks before meeting. I’d already met his mum before years ago in a respite home, she was one of my carers. His family loves me, and my family loves him too. We started dating a couple weeks after meeting irl, and moved into a place together 9 months later. We’ve been together almost 2.5 years now. We work together too.
That's awesome
i was taking a walk , on a late autumn weekend, in my first year college 18 and one month. She saw me, while watching her little sis, and as i passed she said "you look cute."
i smiled at the compliment and kept walking until it hit me... she wanted to flirt... i went back and she led the conversation. we had a great afternoon and started a real relationship that lasted almost 4 four years.
