Biological survival speaking that's a great strategy since you still have a chance that the child survives fine so getting a few people pregnant before settling down makes the chance of your DNA surviving higher.

Socially/morally speaking it is very irresponsible since your causing children to grow up with much harder lives than they should have had and your also quite literally screwing over the mother.

But is it wreckless? That's something very personal to the guy. If he is deliberately doing it because of the first thing I mentioned there is nothing wreckless about it, that would be a calculated move and I don't consider tactical moves like that to be wreckless. But if its not his intent and he's just having sex for the fun of it while ignoring and not taking responsibility for the consequences i'd consider that wreckless behavior.

So its actually quite a grey area since biologically in a survivors world it makes total sense while in a modern society it does not. The biological instincts that drive them to do it are based on that survivors world after all. But simultaneously not thinking trough your actions is wreckless behavior, except that there is a chance he does it on purpose.
