Isn't that referred to as emotional cheating?
Do you believe that it's right if you are married and have children to get attached to the male members of GaG and get emotional support from them?
Isn't that referred to as emotional cheating?

Trending & News Well I would be very cautious because it depends. If the conversations are sexual or romantic then itâs wrong. If theyâre not then I would say itâs fine.
Iâve talked to some married women on here and most of the time it starts off fine but most ended up blocking me or I blocked them. Because they had their minds set on certain things that I told them I didnât want to talk about.
@Summeroflove
That's just it. The two people can be talking about anything đ€·đŒââïž and doing it behind your partners back and it's never cool đ in my opinion. Would your partner be right there monitoring what the two of you are talking about? Probably not. I mean if your partner is cool with it then why not put your conversation on the speaker so everyone is in on the conversation?
You drew a line though and I respect you for doing that but not all guys would do that.
Youâre right it just really does depend. Some people justify what theyâre doing as not a big deal but yetâŠ. If itâs not a big deal. Why hide it?
For the most part yes, if she is investing her time into these other men , instead of investing her time into her husband , then yes thatâs considered emotional cheating , especially if she is keeping it a secret from her husband.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that and I would not consider it cheating, especially if your partner knows about it and that you use the platform as an outlet.
I know in your case, your partner is gone, but if he's as decent a guy as you've described, he'd be happy that you can feel some comfort from something as simple as communicating with people online.
I know if I was gone, I wouldn't feel bad about my partner doing that.
@HawkPerception
We have had numerous discussions on this website and the consensus is that if you are going on websites and having conversations, maybe exchanging pictures (?) with the opposite sex and your partner doesn't know about it then it's considered emotional cheating - vs. physical cheating. There's a difference but you just said cheating.
You can get a lot of your emotional needs met with people on websites, which includes laughter, ego strokes, sex talk that turns you on, etc., that perhaps you aren't getting from the person who's warming up the other side of your bed every night.
I know, for me personally, I wouldn't appreciate it at all if my partner was out on the couch in the middle of the night on his laptop with a big smile on his face and maybe laughing with some other chick!! Then slips into bed with me after getting turned on by some chick on a website turning him on with her words - Nah Ah! I'd be pissed!! Especially if he's hiding it from me!!
You can do it all you want to and not have a guilty conscience about it but that's you, and that wouldn't bother you if YOUR lady was doing that behind your back. You'd be cool with it but I wouldn't be.
So, two each their own.
Fair enough. As you said, to each their own and I respect your opinion!
Just to continue with my opinion though, I feel like everyone has their outlets.
But I never mentioned anything about exchanging pictures. And I also said "especially if your partner knows about it".
I have conversations with people online that my partner is always completely aware of... who and the context alike.
I share a lot of the opinions I post with my partner as well. Nothing about what I do online here is shady.
I don't believe that you should use online sources over your partner for emotional support, but sometimes it's okay to talk to someone that you resonate with. And socializing in general is fine. As long as you're not talking to the opposite sex with the intention of trying to get with them.
Again... just my opinion.
Girls are allowed to share things with other people even other guys. The problem is when you go to them instead of your husband or don't go to him first. If you complain and talk to everyone but your partner about personal stuff, I'm going to assume you're cheating. Now that said there are things guys will only tell guys and things girls will only tell girls but there needs to be a certain distance a wife and husband keep from other men and woman they aren't married to
That's why they have professional counselors for. Does anyone on G@G actually know anything about fixing life's problems? 🤔
honestly, no one should be airing out their dirty laundry to the internet
bad advice comes from the internet, breakups and divorces have happened due to Reddit and while GAG isn't Reddit, the advice isn't exactly helpful
Gender shouldnât matter if you get the support you need.
@HungTexan
But why does she need so much support from so many guys on here? She needs to see a professional marriage counselor not a bunch of guys on a website!
I don't think it's for support as much as it is that she gets so much attention paid to her and she likes it.
Probably something big is lacking in her husband and these guys give her what he doesn't.
Better her than that one guy that always talks about his wife and children, looks like he doesn't have a life without them
Everyone needs a little help from time to time.
caroline ain't even married thats just their excuse so they dont have to send photos or videos of who they really are
I use ain't all the time, as well as gonna.
Not sure, but is likely safer than building such relationships with guys she knows in person.
friendship is not cheating...
I don't see any problems with this.
Why not? I think itâs ok
Yep...100%
