My current partner and I met on bumble, however I just learned today that we had been following each other for a while long before we met on TikTok. No. Not at all. When you take a large population of humans and you roll that dice of possibilities time & time again you’ll see weird outcomes. We humans love to look for patterns, signs, purposes, etc. though it truly is probability & ratios & chance on math.

What are the odds that I died on a Saturday when my best friend died on a Saturday too? 1 in 7 chance. What are the odds I die on the same date that my friend died? 1 in 365 chance. See? We could connect purposes and such though it mainly was boiled down to chance in that way.

With this theory, it would have to be you that is the main character…. I’m sure a lot of people felt the Universe was connected to them to reach a certain destiny then realized it wasn’t once a burglar bust down the door and k*lled them… I don’t believe the universe is connected to us or whatever the theory is because humans wouldn’t be vile & would be supportive of your ambitions to support the ‘main character’. Oh well.

Yes... On the night I asked my partner out I was talking about the first time we met... But I mentioned having matched with him on a dating app like 6 months prior to meeting by chance at a party for a new mutual friend of ours. Apparently we were both swiping while we were at our parents houses, they're about 5 minutes away from each other... But the other day we were scrolling through his Facebook page. And we actually have mutual friends. There's a relative age gap so us having mutuals was surprising.

I told him I kinda thought we were at least meant to meet each other and he agreed.

My ex actually tutored my class in high school lmao he was in college, my first ever football game was watching him play, the year he signed on for a pro football team my sister and I went with her husband to watch their open practice, we have mutual friends in common, and we had a gym membership to the same gym but we didn’t know about each other. We could’ve met on any of these occasions obviously not while I was underage but it was crazy… I thought the universe was telling me he was the one when we met.
