To love eachother. I mean each relationship is going to have it's specifics. As it should because we aren't robots. Some people are more take charge, some people are more passive. You have to choose the person you mesh best with. But at the heart of it the right person will see the best in you. You encourage eachother and make eachother better. You're weaknesses are thier strength and their strengths are your weaknesses. All this is a tall order which is why most people don't work out. But when they do they decide they don't want anybody else. So then people marry. They have so much love between then that it's natural that they want to share that love with having a child. And that point while the child should be their focus they must maintain the fire between them. Because over the years. You WILL change. Think about it. You're not the same person you were 10, 5, 3 or even a year ago. But if they maintain that fire between them and stay connected they can grow and change together. If two people do it right they can grow old together.

What a relationship should be is a bond, a partnership, companionship, etc. Unfortunately many people aren’t looking for that and many who are get involved with people who aren’t.

There are people who are never going to build a genuine relationship. They’re too lustful, they cheat, they are wanting money, among other things that aren't a genuine relationship. Many people want all that benefits them in a relationship but refuse to contribute anything themselves to the other person.

They end in disaster most of the time. People lack self control and end up chasing after everything other then a genuine connection. Even if deep down they still want that they followed the other path.

Yes, some don’t have self control, no care or even kind to themselves, if you’re dating someone it becomes a relationship that no one knows your private they only knows how both of you live as one, but in other way there’s something deeper in their heart that no one can break from them that’s bloodline they took for each other can’t let them depart 🩸♥️

I agree but people also choose who they are. Any person can repent and turn to God but they have to want to and mean it. There are a lot of lukewarm Christian’s out there. But they don’t want to put that effort in

Have kids, have a family and keep the blood line going, raising well adjusted, law abiding citizens and productive members of society. Compantionship, support and intimacy.

Birth control pills and feminism have turned things into a wide open, whorish, fuck fest of selfishness, self gratification and degeneracy. Endless, divorces, fatherless homes, diseases, abortions.

Society used have courting for marriage. There wasn't "dating", now with modern dating people just date for years, sex with almost every dating partner you have. Have things that are old and traditional are outdated while other old traditions are tried and true and how life and society work best.

Aim? , not sure I understand the point of using that word being used in the sense of a personal relationship. I consider what ‘we’ want in personal , romantic relationships … not my aims. There is no sub context of motive for a personal relationship other that the benefits of what a good relationship can and should naturally provide

People push and pull for and within relationships in the general sense for all sorts of reasons. In terms of the personal romantic ones sometimes rather selfishly for their own gain or gratification , or to manipulate or coherse and control but the vast majority of us seek companionship, support , understanding and affection to name just a few aspects of what is generally expected or desired but that in no way accounts for all , all of the time.

If you value traditional stuff & the other person does then the aim is to try and find out if this person is someone you want to be with forever.

If you don't value that then the aim is to pretend someone thinks it's worth being loyal to you even tho they would drop you in 2 seconds for a better deal. Of course as more and more people are non traditional you get into a situation where getting married is very risky.

Not sure one can answer that... the goal is always in a bit of flux in my opinion. But maybe I can narrow it down to a few... respect and mutual support come to mind. Mind blowing monkey sex can be a main aim at times too... its all timing! ha ha ha

It sure can be a big part of a relationship at times... now of course that depends on what kind of relationship we are talking about. If its a relationship between say Father and son I sure as hell hope not!

Love and companionship is usually the main aim in a serious long-term relationship. Raising a family can also be an aim.

Companionship, love, and loyalty, although the foundation of a healthy relationship is build on several legs and this is just three of them, people have different opinions and want different things, sometimes those things being unhealthy and destructive

I don't think there's just one main aim. You're building a whole life and future together.
