I was told an interesting concept today.
There is two marketplaces people get judged from is the relationship marketplace and the sexual marketplace. Added together they make that scale you will commonly hear about the 1-10 scale. 5 for relationship marketplace value and 5 for sexual market place.
So an example would be a porn star... She probably has a 5/5 sexual marketplace value. She's hawt makes me want to touch my penis just from seeing her on a screen. Her relationship value though is probably pretty low and she will end up being a 5/10.
The opposite would be that great woman that's the best to be around, great with kids, cooks, cleans et cetera... but she's fat.
It's just an interesting concept that was told to me and I figured I would share here on this question. We all bring what we bring. I'm pretty sure I bring more sexual marketplace value, but I also bring relationship value here and there... like I can watch kids, I can cook, and I clean. I'll also make your friends stare at me with an open mouth if I take my shirt off to do those things.
I never heard of that particular scale. As we know, no one is perfect. As you say you have to have the best balance without going clear over to the other side. So, if you have that good balance, you are doing well. You are probably doing better than 75% of the people.
I'm the leader, the protector, I keep the kids in check (our son obeys me more than her because I back it up when I tell him to do or not do something, she engages in endless arguments and back and forths. I don't argue. I say it one time and if you don't obey then there are consequences. He knows when I say I'll do X that I will do it. She'll threaten all the time but then back off and not follow through. She won't take his Nintendo or she''ll "feel sorry" for him and give it back.) I keep the kids in line and keep them obedient. I mow and do yard work and handle it every time a mouse gets in or there is a bug or there is a noise she wants me check out. I set the tone for how we handle money and our investments and I always meet with our financial advisor while she comes occasionally. I am always asking the questions and getting feedback. She doesn't understand a lot of it.
I am dad and I bring the masculine energy, the stability. I am the calm one in tense situations while she freaks out and gets emotional and almost hysterical.
You sound divine. I love a man with principles and who sticks to them.
Imagination, childish soul, wisedom mind and deep character. Mostly time i acted like crazy because i really love this life. So why should i stop to being myself? If i want to be insane then i do. Actually i'm not agree with you, relationship isn't have to equal. It have to equal 1. If you %60 then he will %40 or otherwise. I'm not talking about age or ability. It can be mood, knowledge, patient etc. But if you see the relationship like someone receive, other take after that you started to see this like shopping because i did. But it's wrong. Every relationship needs depth. If you lost this then you can't reach her/his soul
My marriage has been working very well for the 13 years we've been married and it has been a 50/50 thing between us. We both contribute a very good income, but other than that we have always shared all the household chores and even the cooking (I was fortunate to catch a guy who knows caribbean food as well as the best chefs) which is a big plus. It isn't a rule however we do talk with each other before making major and even some minor decisions. We take time to do things together minus kids along with doing many things as a whole group with the family.

Respect, Trust and Honesty, Loyalty and Commitment, Security and Stability, intimacy and affection , Humor , Very easy going and laid back , I am old school when it comes to traditional relationships. I only like girls’ that want to be a team partner with me , basically her and I Verse the world. Having each others’ backs and face whatever obstacles come are way as long as she stands by me like I stand by her. I don’t accept cheating and selfish liars
Good list. Are you married? And most importantly, is she on board with all that?
Seems it is either one or the other that ruins things. Some people cannot seem to stay happy and content with what they have. 😕
You see that a lot with kids today. They are unlearning how to be social beings and winding up lonely. They are the ones who wind up shooting someone for some minor offense.
Loyalty, patience, understanding, willingness to be part of their struggle, if time ask - being a real partner in their struggle, their fights, a trusted friend and everything which he needs to be his true self and for our shared goals and our journey. He gets everything from me.
I hope you are still not single with a portfolio like that. 🤔
I'm not. Finally i got someone who is worthy of my love and we are together
Kindness and compassion

The same things I receive from my man.
Pretty sure that is what most guys are looking for so you are one up on a lot of others. ☺
I bring a high level of education, conversation, intimacy, wide range of skills in cooking, building and fixing things, adventure, camping, protection for that matter, a pretty decent amount of money.
I bring lots of stuff to the table but I feel like that's not what people should be looking for in a partner. I care way more about how much I enjoy the time I spend with someone than what they can do for me. If they "bring things to the table" then those are neat bonuses I guess but hardly what I would consider important to a relationship.
i am always told i am more empathetic than a lot of others I don't know if its true but i imagine since most tend to think i show a lot more emotion than most men but still can protect those i care about id say those two things
I can see why you chose the name "overlord" now.
yea but please dont go getting the idea i think of myself above others cause thats the last thing i got on my mind
I fear and love God.
High biblical knowledge.
Willing to share my resources and money.
Affection.
Support.
Honesty.
Loyalty.
Sex.
Companionship.
Well sex is a given. Women want the whole package, not just one aspect. The list sounds good as a whole. 👍🏼
Thank You. 👌
I am very sorry but as soon as I saw that pic I totally forgot the question... I guess I sure don't bring a memory to any relationship.
😄😅🤣
I used the table for firewood. I own my home that is paid for along with my automobiles … I’d be nuts to let a great set of boobs come in between me and my peace at this point. The table had to go….
You could but would be smart to have her sign a prenup agreement saying she gets nothing you had before you got married, just 1/2 of what you both put in together. So if you had a house before you got married she would not get it in a divorce.
…and there in lays my point of not wanting to disrupt my peace. Get involved for it to end t to end in divorce? Takes money, time, energy, and my peace. No. Better to have no table. Maybe a TV tray since they are only for one person use.
Your problem is you are looking at divorce as if it is inevitable, instead of looking at longevity with the same focus. Marriage takes work, it is nothing that you can slack off in, for long anyway. If you are a slacker you will fail. You get out what you put in.
A slacker. That is what you are going to go with. Eh? The default assumption is it is the man’s fault and women are perfect angels. You said divorce. I ran with it.
Marriage today isn’t work. Marriage is a prison sentences with a shady prison guard along with accompanying fees, fines, and loss of rights. The table shall remain burned… Men, get a dog. A dog knows unconditional love.
Seems like you should definitely not be married then, either first or last. Why do you call yourself man with woman then?
A supportive partner with a sense of humor who will kick in with my share of bills and household work
"Household work" The golden words! 😄
Feels only fair lol

Straightforward communication <3
Honesty for better or worse <3

Well, I have very little to offer to be honest.
You can't be "serious". 😯
i don't bring anything. i just want to be your friend and i'm not even sure i want that.
@Sevenpointfive Who are you talking to, and about what?
i guess myself. no one's at my table
I've never dated but my good qualities are: im very good with kids, im a good listener, and im good at solving peoples problems emotionally
Sausage and eggs. Can keep a girl’s belly full for 9 months at a time lol
I see what you did there.
lol good eye
It seems like straight couple are about money and sex. There is no love. They might become romantic after they fed up with sex and food. Hahah
Everything except height and a silly hairdo
What you don't like a pompadour or a Billy Ray Cyrus mullet look?
I can't disagree with you there. 😅
I bring the romance and sweep her off her feet.
Pringles. And sarcasm.
Pringles are fine but you should check sarcasm at the door, unless you have an equally sarcastic mate. In this case, likes attract, not repel.
If that's all she's bringing I can't interested.
I am just awesome. There are no two ways about it.
My kung fu powers.
Are you one of those Ninja Turtle guys? 😅😆
Wait a minute. Isn't a ninja turtle a ninja? So in that case, no :)
You can pretend this is me.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
So you are a chef by profession? A girl will love that.
Nothing.. besides love and loyalty..
Commitment if she is worthy.
The picture tho 😂
WTF?
Admit it, you would love them!
