Have you ever been in a relationship with someone that could never admit they were wrong?

Someone that blames you for everything that goes wrong in life , it’s never their fault but yours. They can never admit they make mistakes and hold you accountable for everything. My ex did this to me and that’s why she is my ex , Now that she is my ex she still tries to blame me for things that are out of my control , she can never point fingers at herself first. Have you ever experienced a relationship like this before?

Yep, my ex did that, too.

Nothing was ever her fault, no matter what. Even on the very rare occasion when I could actually get her to, at best, understand that everybody else was blameless, so by default, she was the only one left, you could never get her to apologize for anything.

If you spoke up, then by God, now you're also at fault for upsetting her! How could you hurt her feelings like that, but not taking the blame, and apologizing for something she did! Now you have to apologize to her for her original error, AND for pointing it out.

Ugh! I know people like that.

Never will they say "I am sorry" or "I was wrong" or anything, that admits their incorrectness.

I immediately withdraw myself from those.

Now there might be cases, where you don't have to do that if you consistently don't do things, that'll put you in such a situation but I am not yet familiar with any real examples.

it sounds unhealthy, so I wouldn't start a relationship with such a person...

but... if something like that would start to happen when we are already together... it means that I missed something during the time I took to get to know this person... or... what is much more likely... I'm co-responsible for what is happening in our relationship...

between two people... it almost never happens that only one of them is 100% responsible for what is happening between them... the exceptions contain severe mental disorders...

Don’t worry, it’s not a you thing, it’s her. Women generally seem to (almost universally) struggle with accountability for their decisions.

And their go to move is to project their own behavior onto the men in their lives.

From what I’ve seen it can’t be fixed. They’ve been conditioned by society to be completely deaf to the word “no”. If you argue otherwise, you are attacking them, or bullying them, or harassing them, or making them feel uncomfortable.

Best to just dump her and start over. Unless you want to live with that behavior.
