Do you think the way that modern American news and tv portray relationships and men and women in general has caused an epidemic of dating paranoia? I remember in the 90s we didn't really have this sort of general distrust of the opposite sex, or really people in general.

No one trusts their partners anymore, or their neighbors, or the people down the block enough to accept Halloween candy, or sellers of products in stores, etc. We have become a nation of liars and victims who are afraid of trusting anyone for any reason.

What do you think can be done about it?

Oh, yeah I definitely believe that the media, and people absorbing too much negative press about the opposite gender has cause a distrust of between the sexes.. Feminism has messed relationship between men and women up.. Even in the real world where it's not as bad as the net.. So I completely agree..
