Hello, I recently developed feelings for a friend of mine, but I'm unsure if they are even open on dating. Their last relationship they were engaged to their childhood sweetheart and walked in on their friend and her going at it. I don't know how long ago this was, since a mutual friend told me about it, but I don't want to try and start anything if he still needs time, (plus I don't know if he even likes me that way) so I am genuinely asking other than giving him the space and time he needs if there is anyway I can know if he is willing to date again or not. I'm trying to build a better friendship with him since I don't know him that well.
