My dad started teaching me when I was young (maybe 12 or so) by letting me sit next him and steer.
He also took me to go-kart tracks.

When I was maybe 14, he would take me to large, empty parking lots and let me drive while he rode shotgun. I got the feel of the accelerator, brake and steering, practiced parking, and became familiar with the mirrors, all the controls, etc.

I took drivers ed my first semester in high school and passed easily. I was one of the few who could parallel park.

I got my learner's permit as soon as I was legal at 15 1/2. At that point, my dad would ride with me when I drove and give me pointers.

During that time, my uncle taught me how to use a manual transmission in his VW bug.

I got my driver's license as soon as I turned 16. I passed the first time around.

I just sort of picked it up from watching my parents, and paying attention to what they did.

When I took driver's ed class, my instructor said that I was the best student he'd ever had, which I tend to believe, if only because he was also my old math teacher, and hated me at the time.

When I finished driver's ed, he actually offered me a job teaching the following year, once I had my license. I passed all my tests on the first try, too.

I didn't accept his offer, but I have taught others how to drive, including my cousin, and my ex's daughter.

The driving school. I passed theory as well as driving exam first try. It was a VW Golf. In germany you pay the driving school to teach you how to drive. You can't officially drive if you have no license so how are you gonna practice without license? Of course there are exceptions specifically in rural areas but legally you can only drive on privat grounds without license.

After I did my theory test to get my learners license, my step dad taught me the basics and helped me get my confidence on the road, and then I paid for official lessons before I sat my restricted and full licenses. I passed all licenses on the first try. I learnt how to drive in a 2000’s Nissan Pulsar and I completed my restricted & full licenses in a 2007 Honda Fit.

A few of my relatives, not my parents, taught me to drive, along with a few lessons at a driving school. I passed my road test first time.

I taught my 3 kids how to drive, and they also had a few lessons at a driving school. They each passed their road test first time.

Gym teacher in high school. I got as far as a permit. My grandfather took me for a few drives, as well but, I just don't really like being in control of a huge speeding chunk of metal that can possibly kill someone if I make the slightest mistake. And, these days, I want no part of driving with all those ignorant self-centered assholes on the road that are just TOO BUSY fucking with their little toy phones to pay attention to the fucking road!! A few times, I was forced to drive without a license but only did it very late at night while no one else (per se) was on the road. Everyone with me said I'm a really good driver.
I guess I'm gonna HAVE to get a license before too terribly long. My neighbor, who usually drives me around, is showing signs of being too old to drive.

her car was a 2010 honda accord at the time. the tests weren't hard at all like if you just do what they've told you to do, then its not hard

Pepe Driving School was my teacher. I had two instructors, one was much funnier and light hearted, the other more serious. It was in a Dodge Dart, and I had fun with the Cuban man who taught me because he'd crack jokes while I was driving. It made me relax. Yes, I passed all exams the first time. Nothing was revealed... waddaya mean by that?

You were required to pass a theoretical test first, which I passed without a problem. You then had several months during which you could drive with your assigned driver/teacher, in this case my mom. I passed my practical exam on the first try.

My mom and Dad sometimes but was with an old 1974 Cadillac at the time which isn’t a very good car to take a road test in since the inspector failed me for making wide turns and other stupid stuff, so I took my car my dad gave me with a 1976 4 speed manual Datsun 710 and passed with that instead
