The girl I spend a lot of time with is Italian American of third generation (so basically American) so I cook her real Italian recipes. Don't get me wrong, meatballs and manicott' and all that stuff is nice but is not real Italian cuisine - I cook and teach her the real deal such as Risotto with Perch fish from the Lake of Como, traditional Cotoletta alla milanese and real prosciutto imported from Carpegna, not knockoff ham from South Hackensack.
