With my career and education track I won't be financially stable until my mid-30s. Should I even bother trying to get married or have kids until then?

I think its good to recognize this, which you are. I have met a lot of families in school who are able to 'make it work' which of course the situation wasn't ideal, but their priority was to have a family, so they made it work, and know itll eventually work out. However, on the flip side, I have also met families that continued to have children even though they were in significant debt... and it put a lot of stress on their family.
