I've made my father do things (I didn't ask him to wear a tutu) but I'd put lipstick and makeup on my papa's face when I was little and I'd use all these cute pink sparkly tiny clips especially barbie and hello kitty clips to make his short wavy hair look more glamorous. Made him so girly dance with me. I expected him to do more girly things as a kid and he had no option but to do it in order to make me happy 😂

Well to each their own I guess, maybe it's cause I don't got a daughter so I'm not sure about the soft spot but I do believe in a line not just dignity wise but influence as well, personally if I were to raise a daughter I'd just say papa don't wear tutus, that papa bought her the tutus, I don't think that form of correction is wrong, mostly if I'm going to teach my children about the words of God which speak about similar things, I think I can bond with my daughter without having to wear tutus or play makeup or whatever, if anything I'll apply the makeup on her, make her play princess or whatever, I doubt she will hate me any less, if anything she will subconsciously prepare and learn about boundaries.

Yea it's not really about insecurity or comfort, I get where you are coming from, it's about your bond with your father and that's good, I'm glad y'all had that bond and I'm sure it was a healthy and powerful moment, but personally as a Christian how could I explain to my daughter that God doesn't want men to wear women's stuff or things that will feminize men when I have chosen to wear a tutu when she asked me, I feel like I kinda have to make a choice and hypocrisy is not the route I'd want to take, nor do I think god would want me to take, I just think id have to make a choice, I hope having to make these decisions aren't the only way to make my daughter feel special or being a father is going to be a lot more difficult than I thought.
