I took a minute to think of an answer and I couldn’t find one

So I took another minute and still nothing.

And I think that’s sad on its own.

I care about a bunch of people, family, friends, the usual.
But I can’t point to anyone and say “that’s the most important person in my life”

  I would like to say as a friend that you could say : me, myself and I. And I say because if there's nobody else that is really important you turn to yourself. You are important, you matter, you become the center of your world until that important person comes along. So don't be sad, change perspective.

  I’ve been the center of my own world for ages.
  
  I don’t mind it.
  
  But I hate being on autopilot.
  And i’ve been going for a while now.

For sure it's my wife. We live on 30 acres in a rural area so it's me and her. We are each other's support system. We're a team.
We've been married now for 29 years, had a lot of fun and built a wonderful life together. I would be lonely and miserable without her.

If I have to pick just one then I pick me! 😊 I don't mean that in any vain or egotistical way, (well, maybe a little 'cuz I'm so cute and wonderful and adorable 🤣) but I believe I was born with purpose and reason and if I wasn't on the planet then no one else could be important to me anyway. Does that make sense or do I just over think everything too much and I should have just said like my mom or something. 😳

I would have had an answer when you asked me this question a year ago. Now I have cut off all ties with that person.
Other than that obviously my parents are the most important people in my life and I can't choose one of them.
