Technically you’re supposed to be willing to walk away from everything and start a new life with the one you love. (This particularly applies to young couples.) However in this day and age folks carry a lot of stress into a marriage or relationship, sometimes bc both parties understandably have obligations outside the relationship, though their mutual affection is supposed to alleviate the stress….
I’m not answering the question, though… What would I give up? I don’t really have anything to give up… I live a smaller sort of life and stay active, going to where I’m needed. Simple. There aren’t any more dreams… Either they’ve been fulfilled or reality has snuffed them out.
Love… would be nice if it was a real and lasting sort of love, not the paltry games and bs guys insist on.
I am working on my career and I worked jobs but I never had a career really as I mer my husband when I was 19 and life was more about earning a living and raising a family then.
So I want to get a career and want to work in something I'm passionate about rather than just make a living - but I guess I would give it up for true love.

None.
Because the right love would never ask me to give up my dreams, it would grow beside them.
True love doesn’t demand sacrifice of self, it amplifies who you are and makes your purpose shine even brighter.
If I have to lose myself to have it, it isn’t love, it’s illusion.
Again refusing to answer the hypothetical. Is it not possible for you to answer hypotheticals? Do you always feel the need to try to say something wise when it's obvious?
I appreciate the curiosity, but my point isn’t to dodge hypotheticals, it’s that some questions aren’t about an “obvious” answer.
For me, love isn’t a puzzle to solve, it’s a reflection of values, alignment, and authenticity.
I prefer to speak to what truly matters rather than force a response just to fit the scenario.
There isn't one. I only have a few dreams, and they're all more important than true love, because they're humanitarian/philanthropic/world-changing and thus they're about more than just me, they're about something much bigger than me and my individual happiness.
Okay, I just remembered there is one dream that's small enough that I could give it up for true love: to run a software company that makes a digital audio workstation that can do everything there is and more and is extremely intuitive to work with.
Winning the Mega Millions Lottery so I could play female superhero and help the less fortunate and or give up on having a fast fruit drive through store where you order your favorite fruits and a machine shoots in out to your car like when we used to have that feature at the bank.
I would love to meet one of my favorite athletes.. I'd give up that dream for True love
Wow... that's insanity to me
What can I say? I'm a hopeless romantic 😭😭
Oh I read that wrong. I thought you'd give up true love to meet your favourite athlete
My dream is to just be happy so I wouldn't have to give up any of them. 😊
But if you had to choose one...
Ok, fine, sure, I'll play. I give up my dream of hunting sasquatch. Unless my true love wants to hunt sasquatch too. Then this story has a happy ending and how I love happy endings. 😊
NONE. True love isn't enough for me. The person needs to be good, and several other things need to happen. Just true love isn't sufficient.
Being rich lol
Nothing I am living because I am not dead.
