Why do you think some women use the kids to hurt their father?

There are times I think about my niece and nephews especially nephews. There are times I wish I could put my brother in a time machine and undo his last marriage. Before divorce, my brother now ex wife was putting the kids against my brother. Their marriage looked like the girl was competing with his first wife. She is using the kids against him and making situations toxic for them. She throws things in his face and makes everything about her. The kids always wander why their dad can't be there for birthdays or any celebrations. She lies to them and have the events on the day he can't make it. My brother is active duty military. He is the best damn father to those kids but she makes it impossible. She preferred a toxic household and a household that became unloving. My brother was concerned about his military career at first because of the stuff she did behind his back. She always wants to be in the picture when its not even about her. She wants everything to always about her. My brother took off and came home for my niece senior celebration for high school. She turned jealous since my niece is becoming close with her mom again. He was in pictures with my niece mom and she got jealous. The kids always ask why he isn't home or if he actually loves them at all. She wanted to stay in the marriage with arguments and etc while holding out hope that he retires and she receives the money, house, and etc. She refuses to work a real job and do something with herself especially her life. She had the kids "godmother" to fund everything the kids needed while complaining. Nevertheless she was telling everyone my brother was a great father when they were married and loving each other. She attaches herself to other people careers and become self-absorbed in it. She even resulted in doing voodoo that apparently backfired tremulously. Then people started dying around her in her family.
