There have been a few times that my husband and I were matching cloths – outfits in parties or visiting some friends. It is not a bad idea. As we are nearly the same size, I occasionally wear his outfits - most of our clothes. It is easy for him to shop for us both at times. It is just comfortable for both of us. When we go out shopping or to dinner together, on some special day, we just look like male and female version of a single person. Most of the time it is to showcase unity and togetherness. One of the most beautiful things about matching shirts is the way they symbolize unity between both. Wearing harmonized outfits communicates a clear message to the world—that we share a close, harmonious bond and are proud to showcase it. When it is done forcefully, it is just a silly thing, your body language and behaviour with each other speak out the reality.
I think lots of couple look like each other had they switched places even if they do not wear identical twin outfits. To me seeing such things, lets say identical for Christmas I think are meant as a joke gone wrong lol, but to my surprise there are appearently those who take it seriously. I have never thought of wearing identical, and been times when I could tell someone was surprised, as me and my ex had different styles on, we appearently did not look as we were a couple.
I have no issue with it. Let people do what they want, especially when it involves enjoying each other's company. I think most people that have a problem with it are just jealous they don't have someone they are close to and don't like when other people have that connection on display
. It's kind of cool, I'm sort of a romantic at heart, it's reality that made me the way I am.

My boyfriend and I both have first names beginning with first letter. Apparently, that is pretty common I found out.
