I'm actually a very positive person so long as I keep taking my meds consistently and in the correct dose. That is to say, I'm aware that we're doomed but we should still enjoy the time we have left.

Generally though when people are miserable they have an unspoken or subconscious desire to bring others down to their level.

Positivity, coupled with an awareness of reality, is absolutely wonderful.

Toxic positivity, though, which is a rampant disease in today's society, is much more damaging than any negativity can be.
It's being blind to reality.

Negativity, in most people, seems to more easily turned around than can toxic positivity.

Most of the toxic positivists whom I encounter carry very deep negativity within themselves, which when pointed out, most can't see.

Be positive, but be real.

Tbh, I’m like many people, I tend to look on the dark side. I’m usually thinking about what might go south instead of what could go right. But hey, prepping for the worst-case scenario just makes me feel ready for whatever. It’s basically a survival instinct we got from our ancestors, and some of us are just more wired that way. Still, I know I shouldn't be a buzzkill, gotta keep it positive every once in a while.
