The fear that makes you stay in a relationship isn't only because no one might want you anymore, it's more because of ruining your stability, the depression, the losses and how it's going to effect you and the kids if you have many, plus you might wanna give it a chance believing that your spouse might change with time, plus it's because if you believe that marriage is sacred than you don't want to make a sin, especially if your spouse isn't cheating!
Some men are 100% loyal to their women, aren't able to love any other woman, but they have big issues with their wives, some of them even beat them, it's really complicated, how they never cheat and love only their wives and yet manage to assault them physically 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for the mho 🙂
Not because " no one would want " but when I was a lot younger , the fear of the change of starting all over again after some years...
I would never do that now.. but honestly, I have done.
My aim on GAG is to help you untangle love, fear, and all that messy in‑between stuff 💘
Yeah, I’ve seen this a lot in my coaching, and I’ve done it myself in my early 20s. Stayed because I feared being “unwanted.” That’s not love, that’s scarcity. Huge red flag. When you heal your self-worth, you realize: being alone is never worse than being unloved beside someone.

There’s no reason to fear leaving someone who is not good for you. No reason good enough to stay.
I haven’t and those people point blank are called cowards. I’m not getting into people in abusive relationships because that’s another topic. But people in relationships with someone they know genuinely loves them a lot more then they do are absolutely cowardly people. They are wasting sometimes years of someone’s life because they are too afraid nobody else will want them, cheating on them because obviously they’re looking for someone else, and sadly this happens to many people both men and women.
With that being said many people have done shitty ass things and later in life deeply regret and feel bad about what they did. People aren’t perfect but if someone can recognize what they did was wrong and not do those things anymore it means all hope isn’t lost for them. When someone’s gotten to the point where they excuse and justify their bad behavior and continue to double down on it, in the end many times they end up with exactly what they deserve.
Feeling inadequate happens to us all but I think if we recognize that we are in fact attractive things become much easier.
Though some people might have an easier time than others.
I assume you don’t struggle a lot with that.
(But I could be wrong)
My best friend was like that until she found someone new several times after her divorce. Kinda weird since there was a guy or two in our class that wanted her, I wouldn't have minded having her for my girlfriend, the professor seemed to be chasing her, her boyfriend, whom she met online, fell in love with her and enticed her to move here to be with him and the guy that lived next door to her once she got here wanted her!! How could she figure no one else would want her if she left that abusive, sick assshole?
I have, but there are kids involved. So it was a little more than being worried if someone else would want me. It was starting over, leaving the familiar (even if the familiar was miserable), the kids, etc. Once we split, life has been hard, but wonderful. I would never do that to myself again.
No I wouldn't stay in a relationship that isn't working. I would rather be alone then being miserable and stuck
No i haven't. What about you have you ever done that
Good cause that wouldn't be a good thing to do
I haven’t. I would rather be alone than with a partner I was truly unhappy with.
Kinda. Don't know what would happen with kids if we separate. She would make it difficult i suspect
@RachyRach that never happened to me. I seem to be in high demand.
No, being alone is better than staying with someone you dont want anymore
Yes and no. I haven't stayed out because i was afraid no one would want me. But because she didn't demonstrate adequately that she wanted me.
Nah, I have always had options.
