Girls, would you forgive a guy who lied about being rich and well-traveled?

So i have a friend whos studies in this academy where students are rich people but he is middle class; and because he was afraid of being looked down upon; he lied about traveling to places in the world only for a girl to find out and told her besties that he is untrustworthy and a liar and to to be mean at him ; and now he feels isolated and ghosted by everyone

No. Lying is lying no matter what it is about. I don't care what it is about. The trust is lost at that point. I don't know why anyone would lie about the well traveled part. The rich part is just dumb and truth will easily come out.
