Do people excuse mean high‑status women while ignoring the victim?

So I noticed that sometimes when a woman is mean or clearly wrong people will not really side with that person but not really call them out either and still be nice to the woman not caring about the person she has wronged.

Like I think the reason no one called out a woman who was quite rude to me was because they saw her as higher status than me.

And I feel if I make a big deal about it I will look jealous even though I am not I am annoyed she is wrong and using her perceived higher status against me to get away with it.

Girls do you also encounter situations like that?

I grew up believing that everyone is deserving of basic respect and do not make excuses for someone who is wrong and cannot stand that others expect me to do so because it’s convenient for them
