We have not dated because her parents don't know about me yet. What we do is text each other a lot and I occassionally visit her church to see her. Anyway, I know we haven't dated but we both admitted that we like each other and she talks to me like were a couple. Saying things like"Ilove you babe" and "thinking about you." So if someone were to ask me if I have a girlfriend like some family do sometimes what should be my answer?

Bro, you two are basically a couple, you just haven't asked her to be your girlfriend. Ask her to be your Girlfriend and make it official, I was talking to a girl the same way both of you talk to each other I just never made it official because she lives in TX and I live in CA. We both had fealings for each other I just don't believe in long distance, so we where just two people that were really interested for each other.

Your answer should be "no." You need to take her on probably 8-10 dates before you know if she's relationship material; texting and socially hanging out are not the same as a date.

As you said it sounds like you pretty much are, but what you could do is text or talk to her and ask her if she wants to be your girlfriend. It may sound cheesy, but I know any girl would just die if they were asked that. Don't be awkward about it and just come out and ask her, but don't beat around the bush either.
