Is 22 and 17 too big of an age difference?

Girl: 17 year old, she will be 18 in like 3 months and guy will be 23 in 5. so is this just too big of an age difference? Guys and Girls?

a four to five year age difference I don't see as a big deal at all. not with the youngest one being 17 that is. as you get older, even a five year difference seems to seem like less and less of a big deal. I would disagree with a 15 year old dating a 20 year old. even though that's still a five year difference, the maturity level is too different. but a 17 year old girl dating a 22 year old guy, I don't see a problem with at all, especially when she's only three months from being 18. at that age, most girls are at about the same maturity level as a guy in his early 20s anyways.

in my opinion no. especially once the girl gets to 18 that age gap really doesn't matter much.

It is no big deal at all. My mother is 11 years younger than my father. The two of them have been married happily now for 37 years. Making sure you're compatible with someone is far more important than what their driver's license says in the age bracket for the long-term happiness of a relationship. 6Paul below me offered some good advice though, so stay legal, depending upon state laws for age of consent to keep your man out of trouble until you are a legal adult, which is going to be soon enough.

it's OK. Age is just a number but he will have to be really careful until she's 18 so he doesn't do any thing that would cause him to get into trouble. My mom and stepdad are 7 years apart and they have been married for 22 years this Aug.

I don't think it's too crazy. The law might think otherwise though. Make sure it's legal. If it's Kosher, I'm cool with it.
