Ok so we aren't technically dating yet, we are still at the stage of getting to know one another, but we both know that we like each other.

He tends to call me "hun", "sweetie" or "lovely". I hate the pet name "babe", I do think it is truly awful, does anyone have any ideas as to what I could call him?

Oh haaa. Well, I call my boyfriend babe. Also "tall guy" because he's tall. And "hey handsome" And "hot stuff" (which is usually when we're just laughing). You can also call him "hun" or "sweetie". Sometimes I call him "my sweet boy" but that was weird he was like "wait what...?" hahhaa. Maybe you can come up with a nickname by using his name. My boyfriend's name is Taylor, so sometimes I call him taytay haha. Or just Tay. I've been going out with him for a while, so I use names like baby, mister, hulk, big boy. Stuff like that. Haha. You'll feel the name when it comes to you. I just looked at him one day and called him "babe" without even realizing it, so I guess they just pop into your mind. For me anyways. ha ha hope I helped.

well, my girlfriend calls me a lot of things, ranging from normal to bizarre:

stud, hulk, headcase, westley, handsome, groundwork, aquaman, caveman, highlander, baby, crazy eyes, spike...it's a complex list

most of those are from shared experiences...so I guess for you to use on him, if there are any movies or books you both like, if there's a character in one you think fits him, use it as a nickname. Like I call my girlfriend Shotgun, because there's a series of books we both like with a character called Shotgun Susie, who likes weaponry, leather and motorbikes, just like my Suzi. That sort of stuff is always good.
