Do guys compare their new girlfriend to their ex?

If you loved another woman and dated her for a few years, things didn't work out. You have now moved on and have committed to a new woman (you have had a rebound or two between the ex and the new girlfriend), do you compare your new girl to your ex? Does it depend on whether you love the new girl or not? Are there certain times you would compare them, or certain things that would happen that would make you compare them? What types of things would you compare? Looks, body, sex, personality, ability to have fun and relax around her, does she make you feel good, does she make you feel wanted, etc . . . Do you only compare when things aren't going well?

I think everyone compares a little(if they are able ofcource), regardless of sex.

The things you hated about your ex that isn't there anymore will be noticed, the things that are bad that you didn't have with your ex will be noticed aswell.

however its not like we'll say its better/worse in our minds and have a point system or anything ;)

I read that guys only compare to the ex when they are dissatisfied with an aspect(s) of the current relationship. I have a stupid jealousy issue with the ex and I hate that she hurt him, I just really want to be better than her in every way possible, as crazy as that sounds (especially for someone who generally doesn't care what others think) I want to be so awesome of a fiance that she never crosses his mind in a positive light. I'm really not evil, I swear, just have it out for this one woman

Either way, I don't agree with the dissatisfaction with the current relationship bit, I do it without even realising it most of the time or without wanting to do it at the very least

Yea I know, just like each guy is different. I usually only catching myself comparing my man to an ex when I'm upset about something. It'll be a thought process like, "so and so used to do that all the time" or something like that. Maybe it's just how loyalty can affect my thought process, but my comparisons very rarely if EVER put the ex as the good guy and the current down.
