Define: Dumbing yourself down to get a guy

Say you are a very intelligent girl, college grad, Independant and attractive. You are ultimately looking for a relationship but you are also open to anything (like if a guy is not relationship material but you could still f*** him because he is just insanely sexy)

i have heard guys say that they have noticed how some girls just act dumb and they do not find that attractive at all.

but what if this guy has his muscles out and he is all shiny and sexy (((us women do not all have the same opinion of what is sexy but this is just an example))). Some ladies might just be distracted by his sexy sexy sexiness and end up saying stupid things.

Why does this matter to a guy?

There's a difference between stupidity and slips of the tongue. And contrary to popular belief, we recognize those kinds of things.

Slips of the tongue are cute, especially if we know you have a brain to back it up.

Dumbing down is stupid, because either they aren't an intellectual equal (and thus won't get the respect of one), or they're lying about their personality. They're inauthentic.

As flagglives said, we might sleep with you, but we wouldn't stick around for the long haul. Really, the women who are being treated just as "pieces of meat" are usually the ones presenting themselves as such. If you present yourself as dumb, that's how we'll treat you.

Just remember that getting laid and lovability are not necessarily dependent. Many girls try to win the hearts of guys, but then aim for the balls, and that's the only piece they get.

Girls that are being dumb, as in actually dumb, annoy me. When you do mistakes, say dumb things, where you instantly realize how stupid it was, it's OK, maybe even funny.

That's why it's a bad idea to play dumb to catch boys. But it is possible to "need" a little more help than what you actually do, like opening a jar. Making a guy feel good by playing a little helpless with something so that he can help you, is a very good way to get closer to him.

But don't go overboard with helplessness, it will make you seem stupid and it's easy to see the difference when you do.

I'll be honest: If a girl approaches me like she's dumb as a box of rocks but still hot, it'll likely just be a sexual relationship that won't last long. I'm totally turned off by girls that come across being dumb.

As far as the rest of your question, when girls are like that just because of my looks it shows they lack self confidence and are insecure. It also shows they only really want me for my looks. I would think girls would understand that feeling... I guess not...

It doesn't usually work like that. You're putting a fake front to be with someone. You're not really that person and he doesn't know it. It's like in telling jokes. You never want to play stupid for comedy because then no one laughs and you just look stupid anyways. Don't be someone you're not.
