Quotes, don't help much unless you do something with them. Music helps me, though I love music and play guitar as a hobby. Hobbies, and social interaction really help with depression. The world dispite all the ugliness in it is a beautiful place. There's a lot to learn and experience and share that adds a lot of value to living. Things may seem rough now but they get better. I know getting out of depressed states isn't easy but I just tend to force myself to get up and do something, experience somehting new, catch up with old friends, get my mind off of whatever's bugging me. Once you get a bit of positive momentum it gets a bit easier.

I don't have quotes but I have a few things I like to say to cheer people up.

- There is always, always, someone out there that is thinking about you and cares about you.
- You have made it here. No matter what anyone tells you or what you believe, you've fought hard to make it where you are now. You're doing an amazing job even if you don't realize it so keep going. Hormones suck and you WILL get through this.
- If you happen to have someone you like, are crushing on, like spending time with etc. Find any excuse to spend time with them. When you're down, think of people that you can imagine being really happy with.

Quotes don't really help, finding music that relates, or makes you feel better helps, but I don't mean pop music bullshit , I mean music written and performed by real artists. Also getting a hobby really helps, learning something you like rather than what's forced on you at school or whatever stresses you out. Then when you complete your hobby or participate in it, it gives you some really good feelings.
