Is Calling Yourself a Goddess Arrogant?

In spiritual circles online I'll see articles like "12 yoga poses to bring out your inner Goddess". You will some times see women's profiles calling themselves Goddesses.

I think its important to connect with the divine feminine and the divine masculine, but to call your self a Goddess seems a bit to far. I've never seen a man doing this (doesn't mean its never happened) but I was thinking if I saw a man do it I would think they where a little arrogant and probably wouldn't want to talk to them.

I don't want to tell other women what to say or judge them for it, but I was curious what other people thought about this practice. And if you do call your self a Goddess, why you do it, maybe I need to start calling myself a Goddess.

Calling yourself a Goddess is something i dont consider wrong at all :) as a matter a fact i do it myself :) but my reason into doing it is its empowering to say within yourself and to say about yourself.. when i say that word it makes me belive that i am great and that in life regardless of my situation that i will do great and emotionally the wprd makes me smile and feel great as well...

I can see how that could be a good confidence boost, which I think deeply needed nowadays. I was always raised to be humble so calling myself a Goddess just feels wrong somehow. But I'm glad it helps happy.

ahh i see your stand point... but calling yourself a Goddess doesn't mean that you can't be humble it just means you know your importance amd also your worth 🙆🏽💕 i say so because im a person with a big heart and humble spirit myself 😊

I think it is. I can see how it can be empoeing for some but I still think it arrogant and should be avoided. Just imagine if a guy called himself a god. We would assume he was supper full of himself and a totally douch bag I don't know why girls get away with it

I am a god and a very modest god at that, lol. All joking aside, I think it depends on the situation. If it is 12 yoga poses to bring out your inner goddess, I think that is fine; saying I am Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, is arrogant.

The bring out your inner Goddess articles don't really bug me It was just an example. Its the profiles calling themselves Goddesses that I find weird.

I called myself Ceasar, a powerful Roman dictator, not because I thought I was Ceasar but because I respect what he did. Some of them are very arrogant and self-centered, but others might have meaning. I think it just depends on the context of the name, big-breasted goddess or the quiet goddess of love.

You should judge these women. Yes it is arrogance. Especially since western woman practices Yoga when she has nothing left in terms of spirit or meta-physical understanding. They turn east to grasp on to some semblance of meaning. Only to attach themselves to the most material form of meditation.

They are literally posers.
