+1 yMany years ago i was a freelance computer tech. I had a flat rate for helping people because it got me way more business. This one older couple was uber christian. They asked me if i was christian. I said no. They asked me if i celebrate Christmas, I Said sure, that its a family holday. They told me they find it offensive and wrong that i celebrate a christian holiday.. I said "You mean the holiday that was originally the festival of yule up until 349 AD when the catholic church stole it and made it the brith of Jesus?" They said nothing to that, then a little later they told me that the only way someone can be a good person is to be christian.. I asked "So if i saved your life that wouldn't make me a good person?" They said "No, In fact because you saving our life would be the work of satan, we would be obligated to kill our selves, you need to leave" As im backing out, they took their computer outside, and set it on fire..
I was not threatened but this is the kind of thing i have had to deal with from christian zealots.. blind idiocy..
Now from the other side of the fence and islam. i made a comment that the prophet was a child molester because in reality he was.. it even says he had many child brides in the Koran.. Which i have read cover to cover by the way (same with the bible).. some guy threatened to find me, rape my family and kill me.. its comical really..11 Reply- +1 y

+1 yNo, and some might think I'm a "religious zealot".
I remember telling someone about Hell, saying "There's repercussions for your actions." They may have taken it as a personal threat, but it was just a warning.
What did they say?00 Reply
+1 ySo, when I was going to community college I took a religious studies class thinking it would be interesting. Turned out the teacher was a fanatical Christian trying to use the class as a propaganda tool. (She was let go shortly after I took the class) but the big project of the class was to be a group presentation, we chose to do ours on the army of god

A Christian terrorist group. For part of our research we contacted one of their members who was in prison. The guy was strangely civil at first, but yeah. Eventually I got some death threats from a convicted terrorist… we put them in the powerpoint.010 Reply- +1 y
Yeah… I used my student email and I don’t go there anymore so I’m reasonably sure they would have no way of finding me.
- +1 y
Yeah, we picked them because we had a crazy guy on our campus who would walk around with a giant wooden cross in robes and sandals preaching whatever bullshit came into his head to whoever would listen. Guy said he was a recruiter for the group, but the actual group said they had no idea who the guy was. he was eventual expelled for trashing the art department and screaming about pornography… there were charcoal nudes on display at the time.
- +1 y
Yeah, I never really knew the guy. Just saw him a few times and saw the aftermath of his art critique… I may or may not also carry a knife on campus despite the rules to the contrary.
Did hear that he was picked up by the cops a while later naked, high, and half dead from hypothermia out in the woods but I don’t know if it was acutely the same guy or not.
- +1 y
Oh, I carry a gun most places but on campus that’s a felony the knife thing I could play the girl card on if anyone saw it.

Dang I'm glad you are ok. đŸ˜®
+1 yYes, every christian that thinks god is right to condemn gay people. They wish for their gods will to be done, and that would mean eternal torment in hell for me, so in a way every christian I've ever met has wanted me to be tortured because I am a heathen, an unbeliever, a sodomite, and I will never repent😂

+1 yOnce, Marian zealots.
They usually put themselves outside churches and try to stop you from entering the ''false temple''.
A priest in a nearby town physically kicked their asses when they harassed an old woman trying to get in.
Those guys give a bad name to all the legitimate Marian Orders.11 Reply- +1 y

+1 yno, they usually don't do that, cause they know i can call them out on violating their own believe. they usually drop backhanded insults like "i'm praying for you", which is actually a clear act of intentionally and direktly attack and dismiss someones atheistic confession.
it implies that if they don't "pray for me", they believe i'm going to hell, which is quite a judgmental and evil thing to assume.00 Reply
+1 yYeah worked with one.. Dude was crazy... And told me I was going to hell... Told him I'd see him there 🙂

How did they wish you harm?
I'm an Evangelical former Catholic by the way.
I've talk to Mormons and JWs, too. - +1 y
@I-am-a-nobody they would start out quoting bible verses then i would debate back and forth with them. Which in turn they would get frustrated telling me im going to hell. And i would say im glad my judgement isn't in their hands at which point one of them threatened me with a gun on me.
- +1 y
@COMMODOREII
Well warning someone of Hell isn't a threat, more like a warning, but pulling the gun is just not good form. That's "zeal without knowledge" as the Apostle Paul might say. Sorry, that happened to you.
I've probably pushed it too hard. But Jesus basically said, if people don't want to hear it, leave them alone.
+1 yOnline yes, I'm Christian but I talked to a fundy Muslim who quoted the quran at me saying Jews and Christians are the worst of creatures.
