How do I convince someone that a children's card game is not satanic?

I know it's kind of wrong to to tell someone what they believe in isn't true, but I think that it's just ridiculous for someone to say that something like Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh is satanic based on very little evidence that doesn't add up at all. How do I tell someone that these are just games and that you can't look for something satanic in something that's just pieces of cardboard.

Well first of all, Satan doesn't exist. Satan was originally just a word for enemies of the Jews. All stories change over time. If it's a story which is written down, it just changes by how it is interpreted and translated and interpreted again and then rewritten in that interpretation (king James then new international version of the bible for example). So that puts that one to bed. Satan wasn't even supposed to be anyone in particular. Then when it comes to Yahweh, (the god of the abrahamic religions) it's the same kind of contortion of the story. Yahweh was originally just one of many gods of a polytheistic system, a god of storms. Then the story changed so he was related to one other god and had a mother and incorporated other gods into its powers. Eventually they forgot about the other gods and were just left with Yahweh. So the God of the bible even has a backstory which is unknown to most christians.

Secondly, it is not wrong to tell people what someone believes isn't true. Young earth creationists believe the earth is only about 6000 years old. It's not and we have measured that it's not and it's not wrong to tell them that. It's like someone believing the distance between New York and Las Angeles is only 6 miles. We have measured it and it's not. So it isn't wrong to tell people what they believe isn't true when you have evidence otherwise.
Now, when it comes to something you don't have evidence isn't true, you still don't have to be nice about it if it's ridiculous. So we don't have any evidence that God doesn't exist but we don't have any that he does. So what? Why would no evidence mean something exists? It's more likely to be the opposite. It's irrelevant. The periodic table of nonexistent elements is infinite.
If you are in a room by yourself but you claim there is a god there with you but it gives no indication of being there no matter what you do, it's either not there at all or it is just there in your mind which means you are mentally disturbed. It's not wrong to say that to someone. It's Iust a card game dude. Just a card game.

anyway, to answer your question just point out to them that 1) just because *they in particular* find something creepy doesn't mean it's satanic, and that 2) a game being *about* the occult isn't the same as the game *itself* being occult; that's like thinking that reading a book about guns can give you lead poisoning.

Why are Christians so interested living by the rules of the biblical times, life is so much different in the 2020 then it was in the 800. So basically they are saying time stopped in the 0800’s for rules to live by. Hello it is 2020 and life style has changed a lot. Be neat to have a time machine and transform all of Christians back to BC’s for a few years I’m sure they would be praying to god to go back to at least the 1930’s but most likely to the 2000

What he's referring to is Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon, these are anime, and the cards he means are trading cards that one can play with. These are just toys.
