Can a kind hearted, respectful non-christian go to heaven?

"for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith..." Romans 3:23-25

"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in him is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." John 3:18

Both of these verses tell us that there is only one path to heaven, that being belief in Jesus Christ. Not a single person is righteous enough to get into heaven on their own, for all have sinned, and even the smallest white lie, the most insignificant sin, is enough to prevent you from entering into heaven, the divine nature of God means that sin cannot exist in his presence. However, and his love and mercy God gave us a way into heaven and to him. But he can't force this upon us, it must be our choice.

I like to think of myself as an intelligent and perceptive person, but I'm only human, and have human limitations. With those in mind, if I can look past a person's formal affiliations and professed doctrines, to see their actions and deduce their motivations, then how much more could an omniscient being see?

Remember that religion isn't about safeguarding yourself after you die, but guiding you to shape the world while you're still alive.

I don't think so, pretty sure it's considered sinful to believe in any god other than the christian one and to be an atheist but I'm not christian so I don't know

It depends. God is far more merciful than the world portrays him. It is not black and white for him, there is a lot of grey.

That's why Jesus saved the adulterous woman from punishment. He also said "I want mercy not sacrifice".

As I understand, it depends on your religion. I’m pretty sure that Mormons believe that everyone can get into heaven, but most mainline Christian denominations say that you can’t. I guess it really depends on what you believe, and what’s in your Bible.

How could anyone answer that? Firstly, nobody knows heaven exists at all. All we know about it is that it is an imagined human concept existing in imagination alone based on urgent observation. Secondly, assuming heaven did exist, how could you know what was required to get into it? All the religious answers are just as imaginary as idea of heaven itself.

Heaven is really only made for them. The real question is, how on earth can any Christians go to heaven looking at their record?

depends if they believe in god or not, the reason people go to hell is because they reject god, if you reject god then youd go somewhere where god isn't there and god is everywhere but hell
