It works. Strings of words do not work but real prayer does. So you are correct in your current level of understanding but what you think is prayer is not prayer.

@LostSecrets no, "real prayer" doesn't work. Studies have been done on this and have been inconclusive. Exactly what one would expect if the results were random which suggests prayer does nothing.

@LostSecrets show me that it works and how it works. Show me cold hard facts and I will change my mind. Science works on a basis of proof, science constantly changes its opinion when new evidence proves the old theories wrong, whereas religion ignores facts in order to preserve faith.
