How am I gonna find the true religion?

how do I find it? i'm confused when I read the books of other religions

To me you aren't meant to find it which is why they don't just come forward and give you a miracle showing which one because you then worship and follow someone elses path.

Instead take the journey within, by taking some time to think about what you love and value in the people around you.

The real you that any good devine being would want you to be is a version of yourself that would love herself and doesn't compromise on herself.

Because think about it, if a god made you who you are it doesn't matter what the god is like. It matters that you become the best version of yourself without letting others compromise who you wish to be.

Do what you love, develop the traits you love and tackle the the challenges on your path in a way that stays true to who you are. You can of course fit your behavior to fit in a group by bringing some of your traits forward and others backward but never give who you love being up for someone else because they would only ask that of you if they don't like you.

Once you take this journey you will discover that no book can teach you how to be, and no book needs to. And if you have questions about the meaning of life stuff imagine what the answers could be and explore rather than blindly following someone elses answers.

To clarify in the above i do mean become who you love to be in a sense of personality traits and skills. You'd still have to find a way to fit that into the world. So don't take that as physical or material where you strive for an unrealistic job because that would go very wrong in many cases.

I like to read about religion and philosophy sometimes. For me, the legitimacy of the "God" does not matter. Its more about the values the religion teaches, its approach towards things in life, its over-arching philosophy etc.

I pick what i like and i keep. I leave what i dont. You can't really tell which religion is the "real" one.

I'd rather try to live the best possible life i can, and if a God really exists, he will judge me when i die.

Start by looking for whether there's a god or not. Not all religions can be right, but they /can/ all be wrong.

LOL there is no "true" religion. Truth is not objective, therefore there is no "true true". People just pick or are handed something that fits them and they keep it because it is convenient for them and convincing enough.

If you are concerned with what is really true, you'll likely end up as agnostic.

I would call them "wishful thinking" more so than lies. A lie implies malice in an attempt to deceive. I think the people who came up with the religions genuinely wanted to make themselves and others feel better. But they perhaps lacked the forward thinking to expect anyone to ask for proof and get mad when there wasn't any.

Ther is not a true religion in this world.
As an Christian Orthodox the religion that you had been intrusted to serve it is the way to reach our Crators/God/ Father...
Is not a certain religion or a certain way to meet God, you just need to obay the teaching of your creators.
In my case God.
All religions say to be good and make good so do that.

Well if finding the "right" religion is unreasonably hard and theirs nothing to distinguish one belief from another perhaps their is no god or mabye the god does not want to be worshipped either way how you live your life is the same im putting my money on their being no god though

By what you are writing, you are not yet ready. Religion is the hierarchical and institutionalised system where everybody "believes" in the same thing.
Personally, I do acknowledge God, but I don't attend church. I have experienced his "power" through worldly events.

You need to give it time so that it can find you. Religion can't be forced; a person either does believe or they don't.

As far as I know, Orthodox and Catholic are the true Christian religions. They both were started by Jesus Christ.

In Catholicism, we can trace our Popes back to our first Pope, St. Peter.
