How can we identify the true religion among thousands of beliefs?

It is simple to find true one among five thousand. Allah is the most badass god and He is real.

There is two condition : 1- Believe in Allah and worship him. 2- Be a good person and do good things

If you follow these, then Allah will give you everything, the money you desire, the sex you crave, the house you would like to have... and the list goes on...

The answer (which is the Catholic Church) is a lot easier to find than people think. To answer this, two sets of questions need to be asked.

The first set of questions sets the stage for the second.

ORIGIN - Who established the religion, when, how, and why?

OBJECT - What do adherents hope to obtain? What do they fear losing (this is a valid and an important question)? Why must they obtain it and how? What is the relationship between the origin and the object?

The next set of questions revolves around the former.

HISTORY - Has it flourished and if so, how? What has it suffered and overcome, and again, how? Also important: WHY? What influence does it have on world history? What role does the object play? What was the cultural setting and what were the languages and customs from that time?

LEADERSHIP - What is the role of the leadership in respect to the object? Where do they get their authority and how is it to be exercised? Is there a consistent line of leadership?

CLARITY - What does it teach about the object, how are the doctrines preserved, and how are they clarified and taught? How is the object different from that of other religions and beliefs? What texts and traditions support and surround the doctrines?

UNITY AND OUTREACH - Is the religion restricted to one people, tribe, or culture or is it meant to transcend political, cultural, and geographic boundaries? And again, how does it relate to the object?

These questions find the most satisfactory responses in the traditional Catholic faith. True religion ought to be one whose aim is to not only redeem, but glorify our fallen human nature in the life to come, rather than affirm and encourage. It should be to make man more relatable to God, rather than the other way around (Christ already did so by becoming one of us).

So interesting fun fact, you know how a lot of cults will encourage their followers to go out and “spread the word” to others? But these people often come across as obnoxious, pushy salesmen a lot of the time too. This is a tactic of brainwashing that works only on the people indoctrinated enough to begin suggesting it to others, because they’re set up to be rejected even if they don’t realize it. There aren't "thousands of religions" - only around 13. Most branch off from those.

But Allah also chooses who believes, but of those whom he doesn't he gives ample opportunities to change their ways so they may believe.

Not every student goes onto to be a PhD, but many don't even complete school. It doesn't mean the school or teachers are "wrong"- the kid has other vocations, and may eventually come back to graduate at a later date. But many are of little use in the academic field and have other jobs to do in society.
