It also strives to explain the Origins of the Universe. Each religion has its truth in this matter. Imagine, over 40,000 known 'truths' in this world. How will we ever find God in this pile of worms thought mass? If you are interested in counter culture religions, you might also check out The Church of the SubGenius. I believe both their message, and the aim of the Pastafarians as well, are more laudable than laughable.

Both of these religions do a better job of introspection and are more meta than most organized religions. If spirituality isn't at least somewhat about introspection, then it fails to serve any substantial shot at an objective truth. You cannot logically claim knowledge of objective truth without admitting to and accounting for your own subjectivity.
The people who came up with this are just sad, ignorant, attention-seeking atheists who have such a lame sense of humour that they actually think this is funny. It's just pathetic. "It began in the USA" - Of course it did. Where else would crap like this ever come from?
Donald Trump was a devout Pastafarian until he decided to run as a Republican. He had to pretend to love guns & the Bible and hate science, democracy and freedom. People who stray from the Church of the FSM cause violent insurrections. :(

This is how basically all religions start since the days of Adam and Eve. Since that is recognized as a religion, what if one of their beliefs was rape and murder? They would get away with it? The funny religions are the ones that have a set of beliefs that say one thing with followers that think another. 😒

The church was founded in response to the theological argument that some external actor must have created the universe. Christians then jump to the conclusion that therefore the God of the Bible is real. But even if one assumes that some God created universe, there’s no evidence that the God of Abraham is real. The creator could be anything, even the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

i love it. because it shows the absurdity of religion by openly stating that they are a satire of religion but still being able to have the status of a legit religion, cause same rules must apply to freedom of religion.
i mean if you know that this religion exists and it doesn't make you question your faith in whatever religion you happen to follow, your levels of delusion or ignorance are really astonishing :D
@NamerOfStars no, i'm saying that if you don't see the valid critique in such religious believe that are just objectively delusional and ignorant by the very definition of those words, then you are delusional and ignorant.
because it's the same quality arguments used for the existence of the flying spaghetti monster as are used for the christian and muslim god. and if you don't see that those reasonings are deeply flawed, ignorant and highly delusional, then you have a problem with understanding how the world works in general.
and whether you believe that religions foster ignorance and delusion or not, doesn't matter, cause they objectively do. that's just another layer of delusion.
like you have to acknowledge, that the reasons and logical arguments used to establish faith in god can be used to establish faith in anything. even in things that are evidently not real.
As far as I understand it´s made to ridicule Christianity because for them believing in a deity is just a joke and they are rather an atheistic community.
