So many people in the catholic church are bending to woke belief that jesus was transgender. Now we have stories like this showing up.

It's bad enough that catholics don't defend their faith like muslims do and take any insults that atheist throw at them. Meanwhile, muslims will straight up beat u to a bloody pulp if you disrespect her fate.

I speak as a faithful and practicing Catholic.

From a supernatural and doctrinal standpoint, the Church is infallible and incorruptible. On the natural, human, and administrative level though, the answer to your question is yes. The Church is in an incredibly weak position.

It is true that many Catholics do not defend their faith. Many of them don't even know it. They have been led horrifically astray or have been neglected by their pastors and bishops on every matter of faith and morals. Yet to Pope Francis, the biggest problem in the Church is faithful Catholics who attend the Traditional Latin Mass, like yours truly. That and climate change. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, in Francis' mind, are outstanding examples of fidelity to the Church, but Latin Mass Catholics are backwards-thinking rigorists with dead faith (all of which are things that he has said).

This is not all Pope Francis' fault, though he most certainly is a huge part of the problem. Every pope since the 1960s has in one way or another and to one degree or another contributed to the current crisis. And yes, this even precedes them by at least a century; the human element of a 2,000-year-old divinely-established institution doesn't just become as corrupt as it has in 60 years.

Pending the Second Coming of Christ, the Church will survive and will greatly thrive again in the future. But with that said, faithful Catholics have a rough road ahead of them. I think things will get much worse. I don't think I will live to see the other side of this. But I for one will keep the faith and will do my best to form my son well in it.

Can you defend all the doctrines based on the scriptures in the bible?

Can you defend all actions by the Catholic Church based on scriptures in the bible (including witch burning, nazi cooperation, the blessing of wars and soldiers in wars, and child abuse and so on and on and on )?

I think the pope is. He needs to retire.

Believe it or not, that would not be the ideal resolution.

For one thing, we cannot have a precedent set. We cannot have THREE living popes, which we would, assuming Benedict XVI still lives for a few more years. That and the papacy isn't something you can just "leave" or retire from.

And for another, being the schemer that he is, Francis would still exercise tremendous influence in the Vatican and throughout the Church. He would no doubt do whatever he could to see his preferred successor elevated (and there are some really, really, REALLY terrible names that I can think of) and would continue to pull the strings behind the scenes if he were successful.
