i think discussing this is rather pointless considering the question "whether god is or not" is unclear.
that's like discussing whether superman or son goku would win. we don't know and it doesn't matter anyway.
well that is what i think :D didn't mean to offend or something. just my opinion.
Obv Superman would win
@annabananna superman is powered by the sun. so he can't be stronger than a sun... so if you're talking about of dbz goku, you are right. but if you're talking about the goku of the latest episodes, he can destroy universes with a single punch xD so he's snap superman in half with his little finger.
like George Carlin says if he is he's either incompetent or just doesn't give a shit when terrible things happen lol

Is god willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is not malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him god?
- Epicurus
*Then he is malevolent.
Yes, he is. Maybe hard to understand and how so. Trust me, he is and he has shown me. Right now I'm going through shit with the court and when I was in the foster care system with my siblings. I have to make some hard sacrifices in life but ill get the Justice I/my siblings/every foster kid deserve. He knows all and he'll certainly make it happen and entwine it in time. Sometimes you just have you put faith in him as he does in you.
God is an idiot lab tech. who made a mistake at a super collider experiment.
Ain't that the truth
If god was omniscient, there would be no reason to repent etc, because god already knows whether you're going to burn for eternity in the infernal cauldron of pain or not. So it's an absurdity which illuminates a flaw in the Judeo-Christian and the islamic scriptures. But the real answer is we don't know because we don't know if God exists or not.
The belief that he is all knowing is real. So I guess as far as that takes us then yes he is omniscient in the eyes of the faithful... or the whole thing falls apart, right?
Well If he is he's a dick for not stopping horrible crimes that happen on the daily I mean all he'd have to do is call the cops and say "it's me again be at scar dr street at 11:59am look out for the bird man"
If your following the Bible? Then yes? If your not then look up whatever God you believe in it should tell you.
Yes, however...
G0d has given us free will. He knows every choice we can make but because we have free will, He does not (chose to?) know what choice we will make. I don't defend this with scripture. I just know.
@Dargil OK. So God is omniscient. How do you know that? You can't. You would have to be omniscient to know that he is omniscient. But unfortunately for both of you, being omniscient in and of itself is impossible. There could be things that you don't know that you don't know, to paraphrase Donald Rumsfeld.
No one knows. No one can know. God is not observable. There's no experiment we can run to test whether there is a God. We have run experiments to see whether prayer helps. It doesn't.
Depends how you define "omniscience" as God is not something biological or quantifiable.
God is imaginary. It can be whatever you want it to be.
which of the 9999 gods out there?
okay we have narrowed it down a bit...
now which of the bibles or testaments or holy books are we referring to? because there's quite a few, new and old... lol
well... god can be omniscient if he chooses, or not... he is god... lol
Look inside yourself for the answer to that question.
There’s no way to answer with certainty.
And even if such a thing were possible, I think it would take a second omniscient being (or whatever) to understand the proof because our human knowledge would be far too limited to acknowledge the complexities of omniscience.
It's just a simple logic. Again, to quote Donald Rumsfeld "There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know."
Yes.
No you can, if He tells you in Divine revelation and I do believe the Quran to be Divine revelation.
It’s impossible for us, mortal creatures. Not impossible for Him, an immortal, limitless Being.
How hard is it to figure out surely the One who created the universe and things beyond our imagination does in fact know everything and compared to Him, we know nothing?
Except I do know, but this conversation is going nowhere so I say we call it quits here and agree to disagree because there is no way on God’s green Earth or anywhere else in the universe or anywhere at all that you will persuade me that God isn’t All-Knowing because He is, and if you disagree that’s cool, but don’t think you can persuade that He isn’t because He is lol💀
He couldn't be God if He wasn't.
yes,
Yeah, he is
@XXblack88 You can't possibly know that without being omniscient to yourself. You aren't.
Well if you aren't omniscient you can't possibly know that he is. Because you would have to know everything and compare it to what he knows. You aren't omniscient. Therefore you can't possibly know that he is. And he can't possibly be omniscient, because there could always be something that he doesn't know that he doesn't know, and there would be no way for him to know that he doesn't know.
@AndrésC64 you Are comparing apples to oranges.
@AndrésC64 Ok argree to disagree
