I tried to believe that there is a god who created each one of us in his own image and likeness, loves us very much and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize…something is FUCKED-UP. Something is WRONG here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is NOT good work. If this is the best god can do, I am NOT impressed. Results like these do not belong on the resume of a supreme being. This is the kind of shit you’d expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. And just between you and me, in any decently run universe, this guy would have been out on his all-powerful-ass a long time ago. And by the way, I say “this guy”, because I firmly believe, looking at these results, that if there is a God, it has to be a man. No woman could or would ever fuck things up like this. So, if there is a God, I think most reasonable people might agree that he’s at least incompetent, and maybe, just maybe, doesn’t give a shit. Doesn’t give a shit, which I admire in a person, and which would explain a lot of these bad results.--George Carlin

Can you not see the freedom you have? Would you rather live your life like the angels - mechanical creatures in service of their lord? God has given you life, a story, how can you appreciate love without loss? Lucifer is Gods chosen this is the same story of Prometheus for a Christian audience

+1 yWell, why not actually if you consider God stuff literally. You're still missing the real point as most people. In my opinion the notion of God has nothing to do with being male or female. It's a concept helping people to understand how to live a life, and avoide facing questions about why we're here and how everything came into existence. It's still very odd that something my wife often repeated sould regularly pop up into my mind: God created humans as man and woman. No need to be religious, just meditate this a bit ;0)

isn't he sort of like, not really human in the first place though? i mean i might be wrong but i think he's more of like, a spirit or a divine presence (i think?) so that means he doesn't really have a gender, and isn't really human... i kinda forgot most of the bible though so i'm not sure.

+1 yThe scriptures say that God created man in his image, male and female he created him. Adam was first, and spent some time alone before God said it was not good for man to continue without a mate. So he made eve and brought her to Adam.
So the true creator of life is our heavenly father, and he refers to himself always in the male form. It does not diminish the value of the woman. Remember, all things with God are decent and by arrangement, or organized. He established the roles for men and women, and both equally are sharers of the reward of life. Without man and without a woman, further procreation would not be possible for humans. God does not require anything from anyone to perform creation, and he refers to himself in the male form, tho he is a spirit creature without gender. His angels also have no gender.025 Reply- +1 y
Monotheism began with Adam because Jehovah God spoke directly with him. There was no one else to worship, that is until the devil used the servant as a mouthpiece to fool eve.
YHWH IS God's name, and Jehovah is the closest form we have from it in English. Further, according to the oldest available information, it is used over 7,000 times throughout the Bible. Clearly, since we are instructed to read God's word daily, we can be free of the fear that Jehovahs name should not be mentioned. Many scriptures attest to this being Jehovahs decision, as he states that he is Jehovah, and there is no one else. The nations will have to know that I am Jehovah.
Moses was told the meaning of this name. At the burning bush account we find that Jehovah means 'he causes to become," which means he will become anything in order to accomplish his will. Egyptians worshipped many gods. Yet through a study of the plagues of Egypt Jehovah proved more powerful than Pharoah or his armies or any man made god. - +1 y
The semites were never slaves in Egypt they settled on farms of another people with their flocks due to famine in the Levant it is written is history as the Hyksos invasion. A 1000 years before the mono God Ammon or Ammon-Re the God that some Christian’s still unknowingly pray to as Amen there was the sun god Aten and for 1000s of years before that the supreme deity Ra

It is well known that the name of the Israelites, their God, Moses and the massive and humiliating defeat of Pharoah and his armies was all changed to the description you mention so as to hide the truth. Mankind has only been in existence for a little over 6,000 years. Before mankind was made in God's image, Jehovah formed the heavens and the earth, including the sun. No other so called deity has any ability or power to save mankind or challenge Jehovah and his eternal power and Godship. His works are clearly seen in his creation, and there is no excuse for those who try to deny it. ra, baal, ashtoreth, asherah, molech, anubis, or any other man made image has never and will never truly exist before Jehovah God almighty. You can visit the metropolitan museum of art and its Egypt exhibition to see the history for yourself. Anything else is a falsehood

If you want to know about fossils, there is a fantastic video called Darwins dilemma. It explains why the fossil record supports creation and not evolution. If you think I am put here to test your faith that in itself is a test. We are advised to always be ready to make a defense for what we believe and the hope the scriptures hold out for us. We are also advised to keep testing ourselves and proving to ourselves we are in the faith. Not in comparison with the other. Not out of contention or egotism. Just examine ourselves and beliefs always to make certain we don't deviate or go beyond what is written. If you don't know where to start, go back to the beginning.

Disgraced and humiliated—not once but ten times—fevering for vengeance, Pharaoh and his troops rushed madly in pursuit of the departing Israelites. (Exodus 12:37, 41, 51; 14:8) In honor of little-known Pharaoh Ni-maat-Re, an ancient poem once boasted: “Fight on behalf of his name. . . There is no tomb for a rebel against his majesty, and his corpse is cast into the water.” But as regards the Pharaoh who had experienced a divine countdown to destruction, it was his own corpse that landed in the water. “Pharaoh, the incarnation of the god Horus here on earth, heir to the kingship of Atum, son of the sun god Re [Ra],” as a reference work calls him, had perished in the Red Sea at the hand of the Israelite God against whose majesty he had rebelled.—Exodus 14:19-28; Psalm 136:15.

You are correct, however everything we need to please our father has been preserved down to our day. The rest will be sorted out soon after the battle of Armageddon. Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew are the primary languages. Also there are no contradictions in the Bible, so where one passage may seem cloudy, ask yourself, what would God do?

A man who refuses to provide for his own is worse than a person without faith. But if I work hard and have something to give to whom I give it, is it not mine to give? I do no wrong in donating what I choose. On the other hand, I use the scriptures as the Ultimate authority, so whoever follows scripture is who my brother and my sister are. Who is the master to whom you bow? Hours? Ra? Perhaps a scientist like Darwin. From your comments it appears you have put faith in many gods. Yet you claim to serve just one. Are you not trying to prevent the ones who want to learn how to gain life access to the means by which to do it? Your hindrance of those who wish to serve faithfully is reminiscent of the pharisees and sadduccees.

Quoting humans again? Paul saw human wisdom as did our Heavenly father, considering it as a bunch of refuse.
God actually finds such attempts to be laughable. Beware? Yes! Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, who consider spiritual things as foolish because they can't understand and who let what humans say lead the way in their lives. - +1 y
Well since he has been dead over 100 years now, and you are aware the dead are conscious of nothing at all, I would say now you are just being ridiculous. Maybe it's time you find out what you believe for yourself. It makes no difference to me, I have my own choice. But remember that no one can come to the father unless they are drawn to him by the christ. Are you drawing closer or drifting away? That's rhetorical.
- +1 y
I believe in Ecclesiastes when it says the dead are conscious of nothing at all. The dead are in the ground, alive only in Jehovahs memory, and awaiting the resurrection.
Create something right now.
You can't.
Because you're not in control of anything.
Creation... to make something from Nothing.
You can't do that.
You had no conscious choice over the gender into which you were born.
If you don't believe in God... just shut up.
If you do... then you'd realize and understand that before God made mankind... there were no genders.
When He made Adam and Eve He gave them aspects of His own nature.
God is the giver of life.
Calling Him male or female is just ignorant.
Jesus advises us... after the resurrection there will be NO male nor female.
We will be genderless spirits.
God gave the nurturing nature that most associate with mother's out of His own nature.
He loves us like that.
But God is also a warrior God.
If you reject Him you will suffer a wrath beyond understanding.
Play with fire... go ahead.
Keep it up.20 Reply
+1 yLol is that fact? Lol couple of factual inaccuracies to point out. First, no one CREATES life. We can recreate something. Aka, we can re-create a house from materials already here. Or mold a piece dish out of clays that’s abundant. No one on earth actually made the clay or the materials for the house. It’s all recreated from something we have. Second, last I checked, women can’t “create” (well let’s us the right wordage we learned about) “re-create” human life without a special ingredient that comes only from men. If a woman “creates” life than you would have no need for anyone else, especially a man. Therefore, based on those two true factors alone… no God isn’t female. I don’t know what God is. Nor will I put him in a box like everyone tries too. Lol
20 ReplyI agree, God is a woman as all life is born from a woman.
you need to read "The Shack" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shack in this book God is portrayed as a Black Woman, which i think is even closer lol01 Reply
+1 yIt makes sense to me because most of the babies I make end up dead in my happy sock... need a woman to make babies that live longer than 12 days. A lot of older belief systems did have it that way.
It's a bad habit humans have to create god in their own image, and since it was mostly dudes creating the stories... It becomes a dude and then they'll write got created man in his own image.00 ReplyDid I miss something? Do women asexually reproduce? I thought the woman's egg was useless without the man's sperm.
There is no define creator so no point trying to get logicistical with what the made up person's gender is.
Beside the fairy tale is God created not that he birthed people. Women don't know any better than men how to create life just because the baby comes out of them.23 Reply- +1 y

just saying
Technically god is neither male nor female. The reason god is referred to has he is because I’m many ancient cultures women were considered to be inferior to men, Think ancient Babylon or Egypt or Samaria this also was the trend up until the 1960s so in order to get people to believe in god they call god him

+1 yWhat do you mean women are "the creators of life"? Until a guy's sperm fertilizes the woman's egg, that's all it is, an egg, that is typically discarded every 28 days during menstruation.
According to the bible, God made man (Adam) in his own image, and then used one of Adam's ribs to make woman (Eve). What other proof do you need that God is male?21 Reply- +1 y
fyi women can reproduce without sperm
+1 yWith all the crazy shit God did according to the Bible? Jealousy? Vengeful? Wiping out cities? Killing the first borns of the families? If I was a female I would be embarrassed, it’s best to let that L stay with the males 🤣

+1 yI don’t think God has a gender. We just refer to God as a “Him” because it’s the default. God is an entity, a spirit, an energy. You can never see or touch God. And why would God need a gender? The only purpose of that is reproduction. But God has the power to create without a partner.
+1 yThat is why people refer to Mother Nature, but if God has a gender, I would assume he is a man. We just have the better day-to-day experiences. Can't get pregnant, no periods, even peeing standing up is a huge advantage if you've ever needed to use a public bathroom lol
10 ReplyEarly in the Abrahamic religion the where two deities. A male and a female one, a husband and wife. As time when on they outlawed the worship of the female God and removed her from religious text. Basically all power to the penis.
Its almost like all religion is made up so someone can justify holding power and control of over poeple.00 ReplyGod isn't human in first place so how he will have a gender? We refer him as 'he' because he is father figure to all of us just as nature is referred as Mother Nature.

Yes, God is our father, he is stated as a he all throughout the bible if only symbolic from the creation on Adam, regardless, still a man.
Exodus 15:1-3 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

Regardless "male" and "female" are lowly human terms and only apply to simply, human understanding.
Both are parts of God's character and both come from God and God is outside of these physical boundaries.
God created each and God is above and outside the little boxes we have to live in.
If you do believe there is a God then your understanding of it is really generic and simple.
