But seriously, I don't know. Suddenly being eternal kind of puts me in my own class. I suppose there are some wrongs on the earth that i would set right but in a way that tries to evade detection. Not that that's necissary as, in being omnipotent, I could just make people not get suspicious. And that wouldn't even be an effort as that's what omnipotent means. It's hard to imagine what i would do if nothing was a challenge and I had no limitations. Certianly I'd sympathize with those who do still experience challenges, but as they'll all die within a short 100 years of being born, it seems pointless to do anything to help. Maybe I would set up an actual afterlife that gives out eternal punishment and reward as I deem appropriate. Yeah, that's what I would do, but I wouldn't tell anyone alive about it. It would be a fair system with no "you have to worship me" bullcrap. If you were a bigger asshole in life than your situation demanded, your afterlife would be proportionally worse.
So yeah I'd do that until the universe ended, then probably pull the plug on the afterlife, too. Or, maybe I'd take the top 20 or so best people in the after life and create a new universe, giving each of them a planet, some godly powers, and a hand full of lieutenant gods. I'd try to make the new universe the opposite of whatever the bottom half of those in the afterlife most wanted and make them all ghosts who could only watch unless the god of their planet said otherwise. But once that universe expires maybe then I'd just pull the plug on all the afterlifes. Cross that bridge when I come to it, I guess...00 Reply

+1 yI'd go full omniscience and omnipotent, and I would reward and punish people for good/bad behavior. And make it known what happened to people and why, so that others would start to have better behavior as well. I would also make it clear there was no afterlife, that people better start making their utopia here and now, this is your one chance.
I would also go about bringing some balance to the world in terms of reducing the amount of humans through preventing unwanted babies. If a kid is going to end up in an orphanage or an abusive home, they're not going to be born while I'm god. No need for birth control while I'm around. Though I might still let STDs run rampant just to keep people on their toes. I'd wait until human population was around 4 billion, and see how the planet and other species were doing with that level. I'd be fine reducing humans down to a max population of 100 million, to be honest. My ideal planet has more natural beauty than construction.
I would make wild animals invincible to poachers. Rapist's genitals would turn into sand. Nuclear weapons would not function, nor most of the elements of humans killing and hurting other humans.
I might lax up a bit after a while, I do think free will is a good thing. It's a bit of a moral dilemma, since I see people using their free will to do messed up things. I guess as a god I have eternity to figure out a good balance.00 Reply
+1 yI honestly have no idea. I would be fine with any powers. Though, if I did had to choose, it would be Creativity, I think. I could use that power to rebuild damaged homes and lands from natural disasters. The very idea of having to pay money to get your house repaired because of a natural disaster, just brings me distress. I feel sorry for the people who had lost their homes when natural disasters occur. If I was born years before the 9/11, I could have saved lots of lives and just rebuild how the Twin Towers were once before.
Though, I am not sure if Creativity describes this. I just want to have the power to rebuild structures and lands, etc. Just like that girl from X-Men, when the academy had gotten blown up and she rebuild it with her powers. That is the type of power I want. I'm not sure if TK is the right power, because you will most defiantly have to rebuild a building from scratch in your head and you're not even an architect. Plus, using TK, like lots of it, can drain you pretty good, so I don't think TK is the name of the power I was describing to rebuild things.00 Reply
+1 yHealing, absolutely the power to heal and finally put an end to ALL childhood diseased, especially cancer! Now as much as I would LOVE to do it for free, I would have to charge, or at LEAST take donations, because there are a LOT of powerful people and companies that would want me dead, so I’d need more than just security, id need freaking SEAL Team 6 to protect my cute behind!

+1 yI wouldn't trust myself with

So if I discover I was more powerful than I'd like to be, I'd hope that my first thought (before I'm quickly corrupted with greed) is to destroy myself. Of course, I'm likely going to be immortal, so perhaps the best I can do is imprison myself or transform into a more docile form... if possible
Knowing I'll be stuck like this for an eternity will suuuuck, so perhaps I would give myself some kind of purpose... like being something like an oracle, for those lucky enough to find me.00 Reply- 2.2K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic.
+1 yI would have the same powers as professor X as for what I would do well I would make the world a better place by getting rid of those who are in the way by melting their memories until they are as braindead as Reagan, ruining them by making them expose their own crimes, make them give up all their wealth or simply turning them to my side what punishment they get will depend on what their position is in life so people like bill gates I would get him to say what he truly did with Epstein, Hillary Clinton I would either make her give up her wealth or simply melt her brain as she's of no use to me, the president would be brainwashed to be on my side and so on you get the idea
00 Reply I'd create new worlds, fill them with different sorts of unique life, and watch them grow and evolve. I'd put intelligent life within reach of other intelligent life, watch how they interacted with each other, learned from each other, sometimes fought each other, and see how that affected their cultures.

+1 yThe prospect actually scares me a bit; that's a lot of responsibility. But I think I'd go with the ability to heal people and resurrect the dead. I want to utilize it to help people and that's a type of power that probably wouldn't make my life boring or tempt me too much to become corrupt by it.
00 Reply628 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. I wouldn't want that responsibility.
I'm not God and i'm not infallible.
If I may channel Gandalf for a moment. Understand I would only want to use my powers for good and to help people. But since I'm not omnipitent I'm afraid as a human I would be tempted to use my powers for selfish, petty reasons.00 Reply482 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. The list of things that need changed is really too long a list them all. I'd start with eliminating war, disease, famine, torture, rape, murderer, child abuse, elder abuse, spousal abuse, natural disasters, greed, mental illness, etc. That might be a good start.

20 Reply Probably the same thing God does he gave us the Power of Choice and once we choose our Direction he allows us to live with it no matter the cost if that doesn't start teaching people what will

@AndrésC64 : If you can't choose to *not* love Him, you can't choose to love Him either. You're a robot, of no everlasting value. So the choice must be allowed - if only for a time. And then, choices have consequences. Always.
- +1 y
Choice is cause and effect my choice needs to be right for the right reason my choice will have cause and effect no matter if its possive or negative.
From the moment we wake up. Until we go to sleep we are making choices everything is tied together your choice will always affect someone. Some how - +1 y
@AndrésC64 : BS. Feeling attachment and acting in love toward another are not the same thing. You seem to not understand either.

What I was basically saying is that we do all have power but we either use it in the wrong way or we don't use it at all what I'm trying to say is no matter what we do in life it is our choice and it affects everybody else people in other countries that are starving your government knew it was headed that way but they allow it to happen instead of being a part of the solution and that is to give everybody seeds to plant are the knowledge to help people succeed it's a choice everything we do in life is a choice if I'm supposed to be someplace at 12 noon and I'm an hour late that's cause and effect my choice affected the person I was supposed to meet the business deal I was supposed to do and so forth down the line no matter what we do in life our choices affect other people other things I would not want any new Gods powers we can't even handle what we have been given.
And I would say yes to your question I must take responsibility for my own choices - +1 y
@ohshee I'm glad we agree that everyone must take responsibility for their own choices. That means that God must also take responsibility for his choices. He intentionally created the universe as it is (not an accident), he did it of his own free will (he wasn't coerced), and he knew what the results would be (he can't claim ignorance). That makes him responsible for everything. Thank you.
I’d have people get along with with each other and be kinder to one another so there is no more hurt in the world. Evil would not exist in any form.
10 ReplyI’d make it so food was easier to get. Like in the poor countries. It’s not good that people are hungry. I mean if I could do anything then I’d make a plant that would grow a bunch food that could feed people.
