I asked a person, that I have known since 11/2016, your question. Not just me but 3000 plus people have seen the Lord Jesus work in her life. She keeps a ritual of early prayer and half hour of Bible every morning. This is her “Formula”. Her English is choppy.
—And she said, “ Feel confident that I have someone to listen to me…that I can rely on…what I can say is prayer is helpful…when I’m honest in praying…helps me to move forward in confidence even if it takes long time…but I do what I can do as human but it is on God’s Time.

Yes! I am young, but I have seen God actually work in my life. It may take time for him to answer your prayer. And sometimes it will not be what you want to hear. Sometimes he will say no. But you have to trust that he has a plan and he has your best intentions at heart. He loves you and will never hurt you.
