Creed, religion and ethnicity are not things you can truly have much of a choice in, if you're anyone honest. Sure you can lie and bullshit about being one or another but then there is still no getting away with what you are. It's like saying you can be honest sometimes.

Those in Muslim, Jewish and Hindu communities consider their ethnicity, nationality and creed as one identity. Regardless of what passport, or culture they may adopt or adopts them they will always be loyal to their creed.

ethnicity strongly corelates with cultural heritage, which corelates strongly with religious convictions. that is because religion works with childhood indoctrination. so if you're born in a socio-cultural sphere where a certain religion is predominant, chances are very high that you are also part of that religion.

of course not every American is a christian for example. but if you met 10 random americans, roughly 7 of them are christians. so it wouldn't be wrong to assume an American is a crhistian.

of course religion is a choice. however those choices rarely deviate from family and cultural context.

No, you’re right. You can choose your religion it doesn’t have to be what your parents or grandparents believe. Although some religions are linked to ethnicity e. g. Jews - must be born to Jewish parents but can choose a different religion however they are still a Jew because that’s how you describe their particular ethnicity/culture (and then you still have the people who aren’t born a Jew but believe in Judaism).

Ethnicity is an immutable characteristic. You can't "opt out" of it regardless of what our new woke-tard masters would tell you.

Religion however is not immutable. It's a faith. You can renounce altogether or convert to something else. Most people at least start out with the same faith as their parents, but as an adult you can change it.

Of course in YOUR case there's a sizeable contingent of bat-shit crazy loons who would see your renouncing of faith as something worthy of the death penalty. So there's that. . .

Interestingly Jews actually describe both the religion as well as the ethnicity. There’s people who convert to Judaism and then there’s people who are descendants of the ancient Israelite ethnic group who are also Jewish.
