Why is it that people tend to get upset or irritated when a Christian listens to their sermons?

Everyone’s knee will bow, therefore, all people are brought to Reaction when the Word of God is spoken. We are forced to deal with the realities that God Is, man/woman are, and Man as created < God as Creator.
For those who are at enmity with God, it is an opportunity to know Good/God as well as to not know Good/God. Some will have their hearts regenerated anew while others’ hearts will be further hardened to the Word as they continually rebel against Him in thought and deed.
-Conscious, Innate Right/Wrong, Free Will to choose, and Absolute Truth and Standard ALL come to a head when God Speaks to anyone.

I’m not really sure what the context is here.
People have no reason to get upset or irritated about what you choose to listen to. Enjoy your sermons.
But, if you are playing it in a manner that interferes with people around you, then that would be the reason why people get upset or irritated. I would think it’s not the content so much, as just disturbing their peace.

In the end, it's very impolite to invade someone's audio space unless you ask them for permission.

My wife and I are on the same page on issues. But when we are in the living room together and both working on different things, we put in ear buds when one of us wants to listen to a pod cast or something. Otherwise, the other one wouldn't be able to focus on what they were doing.

In what context? I don't think anyone will get annoyed if you do it in the privacy of your home. If you do it at work, that is not appropriate.

It is absolutely appropriate!. If people can willfully do evil to people IN PUBLIC, murder, slander, envy, jealousy and go to clubs and fornicate, play with people's feelings, use and abuse people and listen to rap that has a lot of cursing and crap in it and so forth then we as firm believers in Christ can listen to whatever we feel that is holy IN PUBLIC. People man lol!!

Actually listening to loud rap or whatever in public isn't considered OK.

And just like people go to clubs to listen to rap, you are free to go to church to listen to sermons.
