I was going to write a post on this soon but didn't take the time yet... it's like why I turned to Christ in the first place.
I think the answer is...
There is good, love, joy... somewhere, do you seek that and gain from it? I got some today, just enjoying some diverse spring flowers on my walk. Talking to the family and working through challenges raising our teen. Even though I have pain and I'm sick, I can find something positive, a reason to live. The children lying on deaths bed in the hospital wish for what I have, why not end their suffering? There is something to giving people time to discover themselves, to live their lives to the fullest... albeit... in the knowledge of good and evil as the bible says, which I see as true. We are getting a huge dose of that, and it looks sometimes... like better to wipe it all out than go on suffering.

We aren't made to be isolated, but to be connected. The connection to humanity may cause pain, warping us. We know by looking inside ourselves. But it's been far worse than this at times in history, and yet people when faced with certain death, find purpose in life.

If there is no hope, nothing but failure and fear, then one doesn't see a point to existence and may even want to erase the whole lot of em. That's the mentality of our basic mass shooter. Not good. I 've been there emotionally, I saw it in myself and got out of that place to a better place.

It's been tried... wiping it all out... at least in concept in the Bible. God "flooded the earth". Let a few live... the mess started all over again.

Thankfully it isn't my decision to make and nor yours, god. We let time takes it's course. I give my time to helping others along their path, to find hope, value in life, find purpose. Sometimes it's very small. I get more joy sometimes watching ants work than much else. But sometimes, I feel like I made a difference in someones life, and that's powerful. It's life, being lived at so many levels in this world.

As much evidence there is of God I've found, is that God... that connection to what is greater good... lies within us. And when we find that, we want to live and give to others, understanding that this world has lots of suffering and we will be removed of it at some point.

The Bible says, gonna wipe it all out eventually (bunch of old crazy desert wandering men). Science says... gonna wipe it all out and suck it into a "black hole" and squish it into some kind of tiny blob of energy, and then blow it to bits across the universe... to start over. Pretty much guaranteed... lets hope we don't speed up the process, although some probably feel like that is better. Choose life, a better life and existence, cause you aren't staying here. The only safety, is in Christ that I can find. I suggest going there now so you have forever.

All our problems are fundamentally... emotional. That has been solved. So God, do what you will...

As Jesus of Nazareth addressed in the parable of sowing the seed... some will "hear". Gotta listen with your heart to hear what he was saying. Luke 8:5.

I love your question no matter how it was meant its not far from the truth of happening someday and I truly think sooner than later and you to know this and in your own wAy was reminding all that it its meant for sounds crazy but in my own crazy way I believe it. Apparently just fellating a god endlessly is all they really ask for, other than sometimes giving humans dumb rules to obey. Does that sound agreeable?

If that fails, my next idea would be to point out that if you destroy the world, supposing its the only planet with life, then you'd have to go back to doing whatever god (s) were doing before we arrived. (Floating around endlessly in a lifeless universe for an eternity. Sounds boring.)
