Is there a god looking out for me?

I've been an atheist for years, but I've had such luck. There have been some very difficult situations for me this past year/years and I've somehow managed to get out of some of them scot-free. Situations where things could have much worse, they turned out OK when they could have been bad. And I prayed about these things that turned out OK.
I know it's superstitious, but compared to what could have happened I have such good fortune. So I feel I owe someone gratitude towards this.
Is there a god or guardian angel on my side that's helped me become so lucky in these rough situations? Or am I crazy

So here's the thing: Life happens to you no matter what you believe. You can be a Buddhist, a Christian, a Satan Worshipper, a Muslim, an atheist, an agnostic, a pantheist, you get the idea.

It doesn't matter much. Your attitude matters a lot more. But as for your run of luck, some people are lucky. Also, sometimes your attitude can either change outcomes for you, and also change your perception of outcomes.

As for the presence or not of deities or guardians, etc, take my following example:

A person's grandma gets cancer.
Atheist: "People get cancer. It's science."
Christian: "God has a plan."
Muslims: "It is the Will of Allah."
Pantheist: "Maybe she pissed off a god (ess)?"
Buddhist: "Life is suffering."

The same person's grandma's cancer goes into remission:
Atheist: "People recover from cancer. It's science."
Christian: "God be praised!"
Muslims: "Allah is merciful!"
Pantheist: "God (ess) must have taught her the lesson."
Buddhist: "You only lose what you cling to."

I could make another example where grandma then gets hit by a bus and dies, but my point is that no matter what happens, people slap their beliefs onto it to make sense of it and explain it. That doesn't mean it's real (or that it's not). It just means they've cooked up an explanation that feels right to them. It's "praise the Lord!" when things go right, and "God works in mysterious ways" when things go wrong. Or whatever particular brand/belief system they've got.

maybe it was luck. but maybe you also did shit right or you have a good ability to handle shit. but even if it's just 100% dumb luck, that still doesn't make me think it's smart to thank some god for that.

i mean if you wanna be thankfull for some "god" for your luck. you should consider that by the same logical token, this same "god" gives people bad luck. young children die of leukemia. innocent people die in car accidents. is that fair? would you want this? would you worship a being that intentionally does that horrible shit to people?

so i personally think it's better to think it's coincidence and just be happy about my luck. cause if it was not coincidence, then even the worst shit was planned for by this god and i wouldn't live in a world, where a sentient being knowingly does such shit to people.

i find it is sort of like stockholm syndrome, when you rejoice and praise the lord everytime something great happens. but when shit happens, you just say "well we just don't understand the way of god". imagine we treated people that way. they support you, you say thanks. they punch your face, you say "well surely they had their reason"? wtf. that would be weird wouldn't it?

If you're an atheist because you've seen through theist arguments, then I struggle to imagine why you would find random chance convincing to support a supernatural claim.
I'm assuming you're an atheist just because you weren't indoctrinated.

In a universe without a god, good and bad things would still happen to anyone. And nothing about a string of unlikely outcomes makes that god claim any more likely.

Whether or not God exist and, if so, if God is looking out for you cannot be proven. Generally, the rule should be, assume the negative if something cannot be proven. However, more than half the world believe there is a God that helps take care of them. Therefore, who am I to say the majority is not right.

Look in my life there's no such thing as luck, there's a God that helps me and guided me at moments I wasn't able to continue but I did any way by gods guidance and seems like God's trying too reach too by asking making you ask this questions now it just depends on who you choose I told you an opinion filled with truth now it's just your choice (I won't even come close to forcing you)

I'm not a catholic. I think a Lotta the catholic church is built on a Lotta ,, religion,, religion is man made. Actual Christianity is about a personal relationship with Jesus christ. Aside from that religion is completely useless.

God is always looking out for you even if you reject him. Think of God's love like a parents love (except that God is infallible lol). A parent loves you even when you make things hard for them. They may get angry. But they never stop loving you. It's kind of like that.
