Why are we so morally bankrupt and spiritually lost in society without Jesus? Is it time to start teaching family values, prayer and faith in schools?

As a nation, we have been in open rebellion against God.

That is the way society has been trending. People are less religious than they were before.

And I don’t find it a coincidence either that people are also less happy nowadays than they were when compared to the past.

My point being, people are left feeling miserable without Christ.

Even if they don’t feel that way now, or realize it yet, their lives will still never be anywhere near as fulfilling to that of a practicing Christian.

Either way I just hope that our society ceases to permit sin so blatantly and so publicly. Hopefully we can follow Russia’s lead.

They were a Communist, atheistic and un-Godly society before, but they’ve seen a massive turn around.

And the reason being is because seperation of church and state enables sin and helps nobody.

There are dangerous assumptions built into your jaded ‘question’ — and if you think morals are derived from religion, Christ, or his merry band of lunatic followers, then you’re not very bright & haven’t done much research.
I look at it the total opposite, as the most unreligious countries are the happiest routinely, & religion is a miserable scourge holding us back as a society, like the last vestige of an ancient superstitious past, with DANGEROUS examples abound showing what happens when religion & power combine.
I can’t imagine why anyone would take in the misery and voluntarily put on ‘blinders’ instead of asking questions & retaining their critical thinking abilities — Christianity is gullibility with a halo.

School? No. Parents need to start taking responsibility for their children's education again. And I'm not talking about home schooling. Formal school should be just about core subjects and everything else the parents should teach. Instead they drop off their child at the institution out of convenience and let teachers raise their children.

Christian God is a focus on a higher emotion, love which is outside of ourselves that removes the focus from self.

Rejection of that God, means self and it's desires come first and that's what we have. Leaving humans to their desires... we'll the Bible talks about that a lot and it's trouble. You can't "quench the thirst", it's our nature to want more.

There are other religions which provide similar types of controls to restrict the human animal.

Not in schools unless its a private school. The way getting people the gospel is doing what Jesus specifically commanded to go preach the gospel unto people out in all nations out in the streets, not school.
