And by that I mean the Christian god. You don't need to be Christian to answer, or even religious. I am interested in what everyone believes. So who or what do you think God is?

Good question. I think I'll let Chesterton speak for me on this one:
"For was not God my gardener
And silent like a slave;
That opened oaks on the uplands
Or thicket in graveyard gave?
"And was not God my armourer,
All patient and unpaid,
That sealed my skull as a helmet,
And ribs for hauberk made?
"Did not a great grey servant
Of all my sires and me,
Build this pavilion of the pines,
And herd the fowls and fill the vines,
And labour and pass and leave no signs
Save mercy and mystery?
"For God is a great servant,
And rose before the day,
From some primordial slumber torn;
But all we living later born
Sleep on, and rise after the morn,
And the Lord has gone away.
"On things half sprung from sleeping,
All sleepy suns have shone,
They stretch stiff arms, the yawning trees,
The beasts blink upon hands and knees,
Man is awake and does and sees--
But Heaven has done and gone.
For who shall guess the good riddle
Or speak of the Holiest,
Save in faint figures and failing words,
Who loves, yet laughs among the swords,
Labours, and is at rest?
"But some see God like Guthrum,
Crowned, with a great beard curled,
But I see God like a good giant,
That, labouring, lifts the world."
God is spirit. Everything even time exists with in him. It’s like for example you have this circle that represents God and all that we know even time itself exists with in that circle and space and all we know take up a tiny spec of that circle. Only thing is with God being the circle it has no boundaries. Like you can’t say the line is here and that’s the boundary, because God is infinite.
this next part is just what I think it’s not backed by Bible just really deep thought. Scientists one day hope to find the ending part of space, but it’s possible that what is after space is heaven and space is like a desert to keep man from reaching there without going through death. So I don’t think we will ever discover the ending part of space.
The christian God. Lol. Dont need to be a Christian to believe in God. God is probably more benevolent than the bible or most religions make him off to be. I think God can make or female and perhaps any race. He doesn't not represent any. But it would be a kick in the ass to find out he was black.
Well people who died and came back to life saw him. They described him as a light skinned beautiful man
I've seen an Archangel which appared to me in the form of Tyrael the Archangel from the Diablo video game series, and told me my sister's cancer was cured. The next day I found out from my mother that my sister's cancer was cured, so I knew the Archangel agreed with medical science. It's been 5 years now, and my sister is still cancer free.
Jesus is God. That is beyond dispute by all the facts and more.
Is has also been determined through in-depth research that He was caucasion.

The Id- Basic desires... sex, money, power, make certain people happy or impressing them, etc.
ego - Finding socially acceptable ways, or ways around to getting what the id wants. Schemes on college making you rich somehow for instance. Or a thief trying to steal and get away with it (acceptable if you don't get caught, right?).
Superego - What you think the ideal individual would do.
... It's some Sigmund Freud stuff
I think what 'God' is to most people is some superego ideal that people hold in their minds. It then gets attributed to an 'outside' entity and then worshiped... because hey, it's what the ideal being would be.
The Christian God is mythical, like most of the Bible. There’s no evidence for an afterlife or the efficacy of prayer. Misfortune falls on the devout and the doubting alike. Church congregations have a social purpose but as we see with Unitarian Universalism, they work just as well, or better, without the dogma.
I will be blunt. I sincerely hope he isn't as he is shown to be in the old and new testaments; a capricious, mean minded and foolish God who makes playthings and destroys them when he doesn't like how they are.
Now if he is as the deists say, I can understand that easier. Making something then stepping away to let things run the natural course, is infinitely more benign and in line with cosmic notions of order.
The Christian God is a man named Jesus.
The True God is not a man (Numbers 23:19)
Therefore, the Christian God is not the True God.
Yes and what do you think? There is no explanation below your question and there should be Positional statement there. Do not ask others for what you are not willing to convey yourself on the front end...
I just wanted to know without putting my opinion to muddy the water. If you would like to know. In my opinion God is the reincarnated soul of El after his death at the hand of Baal.
Technically that God was just one of the ancient polytheistic Semitic deities.
Indeed. But which do you think he is. Personally I think he is the reincarnated spirit of El
I honestly haven't given it much thought, I'll have to do so
How do you figure that, because he proclaimed he's the best?
Old names for God inclue El, El Shaddai, Elohim, Eloah, etc... angels all have names that end in EL.
Like Samael, Raphael and so on
Yes.
Israel as well
The prophesied messiah Immanuel
Speaking of which, what's your take on Melchizidek? Do you wager he was a christ or what?
Good for you then, all power to you.
I do believe in God but not in terms of religion. But mostly the spiritual world. That's a different dimension.
God is God.
The Abrahamic God is the same God for three faiths, just under different languages and cultures, is all.
To me God is a powerful force above me. I don't think of God as a person when I think of God is something closer to the Universe.
God is:
- The Creator
- Our Lord and Saviour
- Father
- Jesus Christ
- The Holy Spirit
A way for the clergy to control the peasants. It as always been about influence and power since its a figure of imagination.
Just an imaginary being, no different than the critters that live under your bed until you go to bed at night.
You forgot 1:58.
The creator. Almighty and powerful. It's who God is.
A concept created by uneducated troglodytes to explain things they don’t comprehend.
A fictitious character just like every other god ever conceived.
An imaginary stick to beat the peasants with.
G0d is The Creator. He is still at work.
I believe to Allah.
A figment of people's imagination.
He is who he is
An imaginary friend
Fictional.
