1. I don't believe in God and I'll basing my opinion on God's description and actions in the Bible.
2. I think his image starts of negative by punishing the serpent for telling the truth.
3. There is to much death, pain and suffering directly linked to God for me to think anything positive about God.
4. I don't understand how readily people will lead their lives according to a book solely since the book says it's the word of God.
The serpent/ Devil lied. God said we will suffer death as result of rebellion so we now all die.
“You are free to eat from any tree in the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
The serpent then told eve that that wasn't true.
Both Adam and Eve ate from the fruit but death wasn't the result. The result was knowledge. Death would always be their fate unless they ate from the tree of life and death as well. Which God prevented them from doing.
Adam and Eve are long dead so it was true that they will certainly die; the devil told Eve otherwise.
If they obeyed God they will still be alive today.
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
The serpent didn't lie, he just told even that God was hiding the truth.
And you say that they would be alive today, but nowhere does God state this.
As evident to that next part, they'd have to eat from the tree of life and death to live forever, but God forbid that as well. So they were fated to die from the very start.
Satan told them a half a truth mixed in with a lie.
God didn't create mankind for them to die, death is a cursed from God upon humans.
God intended for us to live forever and His ultimate plan will happen as those saved in Christ will inherit the new earth to come and live forever as God always intended to be.
So the almighty God had these two trees, forbade the humans God created from eating from them and the serpent/Satan managed to convince the humans within three lines of dialog and what does God do?
God punishes the entire species of animal for what a fallen angel did disguised as said animal.
Banished the two humans to God's newly made earth with new forms of suffering to live their lives and with that the entire human species that would stem from this.
God could've just started over, but no, he decided to cause suffering.
Time and time again the Bible shows how God chooses to make his own creations suffer.
Gods own angels revolted against God because of how God seemed to prefer these humans.
These angels were cast down and their leader was cast down to hell where not just those who commit heinous acts go, but also those whom commit the sin of not believing in a being that would cause this much suffering and does nothing to help the innocent souls on God's earth. I refuse to believe in nor respect an omnipotent almighty super being whom will let children die in the most terrible ways. Whom will let those whom devote their entire lives living according to God's word suffer from the most painful ailments.
A god that let's disease and all kinds of harmful afflictions effect God's creation with no intervention. All based on the action of his first two failed creations.
@Zenpanda They did die that day, in that had they not done that they would have lived forever. But because they sinned, they eventually faced physical death, but also spiritual death because sin separates us from God. You were right about them being unable to eat from the tree of life, because they got kicked out of the Garden of Eden and have a huge Angel with a flaming sword blocking the entrance. Therefore, they, and all their descendants face physical death. But the day that Jesus died on the cross, the spiritual death decree was lifted.
@Zenpanda: The Almighty doesn't you or anybody a damn thing except to cast you into hell fire for being a disgusting sinner before His holiness.
And humans are the ones who cause all these suffering on earth, humans are the ones who willingly and wilfully lie to each other, steal from each other and murder each other etc.
The almighty doesn't owe us anything? So if you have a child you can abandon it? God made us according to the Bible.
If you have a child and would be able to give it the perfect life, would you not do so?
If you could prevent pain, suffering and meaningless death, wouldn't you do it?
God is like a child with an antfarm.
God placed life and watches.
Every now and then God will pour water in, shake the enclosure or use a magnifying glass to fry some of them.
Why does God treat God's little pets like this? Because they don't do God's every whim.
God will throw a temper tantrum and punish the creatures God has in God's little zoo planet.
@ManOnFire yeah because Eve couldn't possibly feel ashamed for her actions and is lying. Because now she has those emotions.
@Zenpanda So now your story is to blame a shift in truth for why the serpent was the deceiver. Now Eve has emotions and is blaming the serpent. If the serpent was the truth teller, then Eve would've been defiant in the face of God when he said "What have you done?" She would've stood her ground for why she ate the fruit and probably would've tried to talk God down. But we see that God was the truth, and neither Adam, Eve, or the serpent had no power over the truth. They failed the test and ended up no wiser than God.
@ManOnFire Yeah sure, Eve will talk the almighty creator down. She has new emotions, she's not suddenly stupid beyond belief. Any logic would make Eve shy away from someone as mighty as God and try to shift the blame. Desperation in the face of despair.
@Zenpanda When a child is born it IS perfect and without sin. But thanks to Adam and Eve we are all born with a sin nature. You can see that sin nature in person every day of the year, just by looking at the news, and of course personal experience. We all have been given free will by God, to follow Him or not. Most do not want to. So you are not a little pet, you choose your own path, and that includes not accepting God's forgiveness for your sins. So that is on you, not God.
@YesterdaysChild So God messed up on his first 2 creations and punishes all of mankind for their deeds. Great. And that perfect child that is born can have all types of ailments and handicaps. Thank you God for just letting that happen.
Also that free will line is stupid.
That like someone telling someone else "you have free will, be my slave or I'll shoot you in the head. The choice is yours".
You can't call it free will if you are either bound to someone's every whim or you'll face eternal damnation. It's not free will, it's an A or B question. Free will would be "if you follow my guidance and worship me you can enter heaven when you die. If you don't your life will just end." and not punish them with eternal suffering for not believing. God shows again and again that God's way is to cause death and suffering.
2 is like you heard it but never read it. he deserved punishment for leading them ro sin regardless of truth. and tempted them with lie of knowledge as tempting and he said "won't die" not won't die today.
@strateguy632 And I'll plus 1 one that as well.
@Zenpanda Well, I guess you can argue that with God on Judgement Day. I doubt you will say anything, because when the books are opened and your life is revealed to all in living color - every deed you have done, every thought you have had, every idle word you have spoken, and every time someone tried to tell you how to be saved from Hell but you just made fun of them and of God Himself. All you will do is be on your knees with everyone else, proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord. And when your name is not found in the Book of Life, which contains the names of those who were saved because of the blood of Jesus, the Lord will say, "Depart from me you who practiced lawlessness for I never knew you." Then you will be thrown into the Lake of fire to be tormented forever. It's all in Revelation. You should try reading it some time.
@YesterdaysChild Zenpanda just trolls as an unhappy person who blames all his choices on God. Instead of him trying to find the truth he just shit talks God. A lot of things happen to us in life, things that were not our choices, but shit happens. Like people are killed by murderers. It was not the victim's choice but it was the killer's. The one truth is that nothing can happen to you, at least for Christians, unless God allows it. Satan tests us every day. If it was up to him we would all die and go to hell. But while God might allow the testing, in order to make us stronger, He will tell Satan not to harm you. Just like with Job, God allowed things to happen to Job but told Satan not to kill him.
@ManOnFire I 2nd that!
@Daniela1982
I'm actually very happy and even if I wasn't, for me to blame my choices on God I'd first have to believe in God.
I don't believe in any higher being or any god.
My choices and their consequences are completely my own.
And if God happens to be real on the day of my judgment, you better believe I'll still declare that God is not worthy of worship and I'll take my chances with Satan.
I would find it impossible to sum it up in 100 pages, so I’ll simply say that he is the ultimate force of good, that he is always right, always just, always good and is worthy of all praise and honor forever and ever. All Glory to the Most High.
Soli Deo Gloria!
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dominus Deus Exercitum est! Magnus et bonus eius est! Omnipotens quoque benevola est! Magnus nomen eius!
Dang it. Messed that up. The first euis should not be there in my praise of God in Latin.
@Exterminatore Ever think that if there were alien races who were way ahead of us, why would they want anything to do with us, a violent race that is always having wars and mass killings? Well God is totally righteous and is as far above the aliens as is the north from the south , and yet He does want to do things for us and wants us to spend eternity with Him. How could anyone turn that down?
In regards to your question, I believe In predestination and I believe the Holy Spirit must draw a person for them to even be able to believe. So those who reject God, God simply left in their spiritual dead state rather than choosing to regenerate them. Therefore they don’t have an understanding of God and esteem him as less than nothing. This is natural to being spiritually dead. They are not only indifferent to God but hate his decrees and him.
In regards to aliens, I don’t believe they exist per sey. I think the fact that God sent his only son do die for us indicated that the earth is a major focal point as is all of humanity regarding the workings of God. God himself being THE focal point. Would alien races be sinless? Did God send them no savior if they are sinless? To me that indicates there is likely no life but on earth. God send to be quite focused in executing his will on this planet and on its inhabitants. I could be wrong, but that’s just my opinion based on observation.
On that subject, researchers have determined paranormal events in relation to aliens do not seem to be the work of extraterrestrials, but rather intradimensionals, in other words demons. An entire book was written on this called Lights In The Sky and Little Green Men. It’s a very interesting book.
Good point. As a species we are kinda trash with our drug addictions, abortions, mass murders, genocides, wars, rapes, thefts, lying and all the rest of our charming behaviors. I wouldn’t want to visit us or interact with us if I were a superior life form.
we are nothing without God. Even if we were a billionaire, what good does money do you if you lose your soul in the process? You can't take it with you, but you can lay up treasures in Heaven.

God with a upper case letter is the creator of the universe, however if you asked that with a lower case g, it would be Satan. 😅
God is the center of my life. I never truly knew what love was until I I accepted his.
🙌🙌🙏🙏
I think if God is the mater of universe, then we humans must be low on the priority list. Like he obviously must not draw his power from our worship, like in Greek Mythology.
what could be higher priority than the ones who cam learn and teach?
Which was what? By the way, was that "master" of the universe? Why would be low on His priority list if He Himself offered a way for us to spend eternity with Him? Heaven is His dwelling place. We will be able to see Him face to face with Jesus at His right hand. Does that sound like we are low priority?
@DubiousIntentions I reject the mythology that God intentionally makes us suffer in this life, to earn eternal life. It's not that I do not believe in life after death, I just do not believe in a god that punishes us as means to earn something greater in another life. If that is the case, then that is not a God that I choose to believe in. But then again, I do not believe that we have to life that type of life to achieve an afterlife. Just like I do not believe that a God is the only true and real source of power in universe.
God knows good people from bad, and how many hours you spend in church or singing his greatness does not impact whether your good or bad. I believe good people are rewarded in this life and the next.
Look your beliefs in God is not all that different for a Jews believe in theirs, or Muslim beliefs or really all that different than the Norse belief systems, the Romans, or the Greeks and all the other religions from Buddhist and Hindu and everything prior and since. All of which hold a belief in the after life, but they all differ on how you achieve it.
So if I get one life to live, and God gave me the ability to decide for myself on how to live it... then I will live it how I choose fit, and if that is not good enough for God, then I am fine with making the most of this live and dissolving into the abius of death. But the concept that I will be punished in death, if I do live a life of servitude to God in this life... yeah... that's not a merciful god to me. Because you can live a good life as a good person without all that hocus pocus.
You are assuming that you are God's slave and to be in servitude to Him. It is no wonder you don't want anything to do with him. Serving God is not required, but it does build you up treasures in Heaven. Serving God can take 1,000 different paths. Donating money to the poor is just one way. Visiting people in prison or orphans was also noted in the Bible. James 1:27 says, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” I serve God in gratitude for what He did for me, give me eternal life. For a lot of people, this is the only good thing they get out of life. But going to Heaven when you die will be so worth it. A zillion times better than the alternative.
@DubiousIntentions I can't argue with you. You got it all figured out. I can do all things you say serving God mean and not serve God. treasures in heaven really? You know I fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, against people that believe their death would ensure treasures for them in heaven.
Wow, how crazy right?
That is one way to look at it.
Nice chap. Made kittens. Didn't let me die all those times. I appreciate that. Especially because some of the fellows trying to make that happen were pretty devoted.
G0d is The Creator and Sustainer of all things.
god doesn't sustain the people who die of hunger and of hunger related illness.
@strateguy632 Those who believe in Him, He cares for. If people die of hunger it is because we have polluted the world. We could feed everyone, but big money will not allow it as it doesn't make them any money. For all we know, the cure for cancer may have been found but it is buried because Big Pharma does not make money off of healthy people. But all these things are on us, not God. He gave us a beautiful planet, and we TRASHED IT!
@strateguy632. G0d sustains them in the afterlife.
He’s God the greatest of all time’s the one and only ✝️
God is a divine programmist, who created everything.
