If you practice your religion privately & don't try to push your religion on me or our fellow countrymen, I'm okay with it. But the minute it starts becoming part of policy & law decisions is when I will call you out on your bullshit & tell you to go live in a theocracy!

The United States of America is NOT your fucking church! This country was founded to have religion as FAR AS FUCKING AWAY FROM GOVERNMENT as fucking possible! But Christo-fascists want to tear away the first amendment from EVERYONE who doesn't practice their religion!

You obviously have never read the Constitution or the Founders as all believed in Sovereignty of God and His hand upon both Israel and America. Check this out.

Obviously you actually never read the constitution, because they didn't want religion to sway the laws. Maybe look up what the founders thought, because they had some choice words about separation of church & state

I don’t dislike religions, I have full respect for Muslims and other religions that fast for long period of time and I would never be able to do that. I’m a Christian myself, no I don’t go to church and I don’t follow my religion to the fullest, not everything is true to me, if it were everything I prayed to God for would be in my life, I prayed to find love some day and be married by the time I was 25 and I’m now 28 and single since 2016. I prayed for my nana to get better when she had cancer and that didn’t work either. That doesn’t mean not all prayers came true. I also think it’s ridiculous some of the stuff in the bible says. But I do still pray in private, I also listen to the hymns. I am also interested in other religions and what their beliefs are.
I got so much hate for being Christian and choosing not to follow my religion to the fullest but honestly I’m happy the way I am, I believe it’s a choice and god accepts that for me.

No. Religions aren't, FANATICS are! I'm a Christian. But if you're a Christian and you hate, then you're doing it wrong. I'll tell it to anyone that'll listen Jesus's message was simple, "LOVE". I don't even hate atheists. I feel bad for them. And not because I know any more than they do, I don't. It's because I knew where I was and what I felt like before I found God. He gave me peace I never knew before. I love everyone of every faith. My attitude is a good product sells itself. I don't need to sell anyone on God. If they're listening God will keep talking to them. My job is only to love and help them where i can as they are my brother.

I don't have a problem with religion in general, I just have a problem when they try to claim fantastical absurdity as truth and use non explanations for life's larger questions. I especially have a problem when they try to oppose scientific discovery when it clashes with their beliefs. For example: promoting "intelligent design" and rejecting the scientifically supported theory of evolution.

If (the Christian) God was real he's a tyrant. He sends you to hell for not loving him. If you did make it to heaven you get to spend eternity with the being that sent your parents, children, friends, co-workers to hell for not loving him. He tells you not to kill other people, but he murdered everyone before Noah got on a boat. He murdered everyone before the Israelites took over the promise land. He murdered everyone in Sodom and everyone in Gomorrah. Men, women, and children. He will murder everyone who isn't sucked up by the Rapture.

If he was real (for which I find nothing to convince me), then he needs to be tried for crimes against humanity.

If God was a Tyrant then you would not have the ability to choose. Putin does not allow choice that is different from his choice.

No. The Choice is to either choose or choose not your Creator, God. Even though the fact that you exist is enough evidence to believe in Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord God, you choose not too.
It takes effort and investigation and it is easier to take what some “star” says than to exercise Intellectual Integrity.

You just quote mantra. I've seen nothing in your posts that is an original thought or even shows thought, just brainwashed words. How can you just accept everything God related, without questioning, without considered discussion?
No matter what the religion, I find such blind faith to be worrying and dangerous. It certainly explains extremism and religious warfare. It doesn't explain the belief that the deity is compassionate and benign.

@Guy13 God doesn't allow choice. Explain the biblical reason for the plagues of Egypt. Explain the great flood. If he gave people choice, why punish them for their choices. Nothing stacks up with religion.

@Jenny-Marie Gladly: Firstly, unless you believe that you can self-conceive and self-start you are made by a Creator, God. The Word of God is one way He communicates and contains laws precepts privileges and consequences. The Bible judges us. We do not judge the Bible, therefore, all created entities are subject to the Bible and it’s written judgments…ALL will bow a knee and profess Jesus as Lord, however, some will also confess Him as Savior and Lord. Your Choice..
Word of God is to be learned (least read), questioned, and understood. . Firstly, one has to start with Adamic Covenant where God made contract with Man/Woman. Secondly, Abrahamic Covenant is where God contracted with a People Group known as Israel. Those that committed to that contract and it’s covenants are bound by the Covenant.

Flood: Noah was sent to the fallen People where Sun ran amuck and God’s judgment was forthcoming. Noah proclaimed repent, follow God’’s directive and decree, and be saved for many of hundreds of years. Noah also demonstrated the urgency by building the Ark through ridiculing. The Flood came as warned but people loved their Flesh and Sun more than knew or loved God. Consequently, the people died an eternal death in their Sins. Nothing changed and even though the whole world of that Time were called to repentance; They like You come not to God by Choice. You too like those of Noah’s day will suffer Consequences of Disobedience to the Word of God. The Bible judges you. You do not judge the Bible. One studies God and comes to know of Him and His attributional nature and how all that works together in the reconciliation of Man/Woman to Creator, God. We can do this in a slower step, if you don’t mind. It’s a lot to tackle in one Setting. Plagues tomorrow?

@Guy13 If God is supreme, who made God. If as some think, God exists, why trust such a violent attritional deity. I give you choice, but if you don't choose to my plan I'll kill you. Is that choice? If God is all seeing, all knowing, why make such an imperfect world with imperfect people? If Jesus/God/the Holy Spirit could feed 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish, why is much of the world starving.
You haven't addressed the enigma of the Holy Trinity. There is much of God sacrifising his only son, but if the Holy Trinity was fact, he didn't, Jesus was an integral part of himself. Also, knowing that the resurrection would follow, it wasn't even a sacrifice. As usual, the answer given is always it's God's will or God moves in mysterious ways. That is not an answer, it's evasion and a cop out.

@Jenny-Marie Make a question. The answer to this particular, as well as all of your, questions is an evident lack of Proper Attitude and Intellectual Integrity. Existence, Choice, Evil/Suffering and Attributional Schizophrenic (more Vogue, by the way)... etc have Solutions.
PICK ONE TOPIC My Takes are too Sterile for this kind of thing especially given a varied written and spoken communication styles. Immediate Clarification is required !! so My Takes fail here... angles, depth, shapes and perspective vary and are immediate and a My Take can not account for that. I don't know how to do it...
ATTITUDE: The created, unless you self-conceived, started, and/or self-generated into Being, does not Judge the Creator, however, the created is expected to seek and question Creator... Our Creator is Lord and Savior in this Intelligently Designed "happenstance" we know as Earth. The Word of God communicates His Precepts and it is your rule book with Consequences SO THAT you know Outcomes in advance... This freely given information from your Creator, God determines that your Choice (s) are fully Informed and Final as it relates to your Chosen Determination be it Eternally with or Eternally Without God (Attributional Schizophrenic-Good Wrath Grace, Mercy Judge etc interplay)
It is clear that you have never read the Bible in a serious manner. Make a Question as with one topic the depths to plumb are mentally and physically stretching. One like: Choice, and its Role in Evil and SufferingThe reason for it can be addressed

I do dislike religions, primarily because of the hatred that goes on in some of them against other religions, how can you hate/abuse someone just because they on't believe in what you do. It's like sexuality, you cannot force someone to be straight, gay, bisexual etc, so why try convince someone to believe in YOUR opinion. That being said I do however, respect anyone who does believe in any religion and minds their own business.

I dislike the majority of religions because there are over 40,000 of them and they all claim to be the only one that’s correct.

They preach love and peace right up until anybody else mentions one of the other 39,999 version of it or denies it all together.

Tell a hardcore christian that you have morals despite not believing in the reward of heaven or the threat of hell. Only if you’d like to see an example.

I don’t dislike religion. I think it gives us a standard, and which to live by and also gives us something to believe in there Hass to be a giant explanation for a lot of things. And science) still can’t answer or bring back people to life. Humans don’t know all.

The only downside of it is feeling guilty and ashamed for things that we choose to do when we were given free will in the first place.

Yes. Because they are for dumb people who lack the intelligence to adhere to a moral code of their own. These people constantly need someone else to tell them how to live and because that's not enough for them they try to drag other people down to their own level.

They are a constant source of conflict, countless numbers of people have died in religious wars.

Leaders of all the religions interpret the teachings to satisfy their own agenda

People choose which parts suit them and ignore the rest.

All religious zealots are unwilling to consider other points of be view.

Before and Beyond Politic, God Is. You got your order reversed. First God then man as man was created by God. Man’s fallen and sinful misusage of the Word of God in Bible is expected. You can find that in Genesis 1 to Genesis 3.

👍Yes, because it has ruined the Bible📒 and what it teaches.
The traditional meaning is not the actual meaning and that's also why there are so many non-believers. To be a non-believer is to look at the sky and say it's not blue. But if you going by the traditional meanings of the Bible then that comparison would sound ridiculous to you. But if you do go by the traditional meanings of the Bible, too not be a non-believers is to be a fool.

Religion is not responsible for that religion is just like a book of knowledge like it's a theory of practices.
Now it has always been the people owning that knowledge to use it for good or worse.

If not religion people would have used anything else to kill themselves.

The design may be by the order of nature in every species there is a predator but humans are top of the food chain.

It is man-made. Some like it and refer to it by "faith" which, in reality, is a word for something one cannot explain. Some do not like it. More power to both of them.

You posted the claim, not me. You back up your claim.

Communism with Mao and Stalin who were atheist are responsible for nearly 100 million deaths.

You asked for an opinion, you got one.
Open your scope JUST a little bit. I'm talking since beginning of time.

@Anjoomkabir Maybe you should mind your own business and keep your baloney to yourself. My comment wasn't meant for you. Your participation and opinion in this matter are neither desired nor appreciated.

This is gag, genius. There's a reply button for a reason. It means im ENTITLED to share my opinion on YOUR opinion. Now whether you like the opinion or not is your prerogative... but you really ought to work on accepting other people's oppositions and not being so butthurt.

Also still haven't responded to original asker's great point.
Sounds like your trying to deflect by focusing on me.

More the actual organizations like the Vatican. Local churches seem to help people.

Religion is OK if you believe, but it should never be forced upon anyone else.
