we have ideas like "be yourself" but then the moment you be yourself society judges you and you can't catch a break , this can apply to any minority group, or autistic /adhd people, or mentally struggle people, or the majority group. I am autistic and adhd myself Id like to add. Complex Religious Social issue: You can't express your religious views without getting hassled, minority religious get disrespected and i dont wanna not here that, there double standard on all sides, christians get more room for like subtle references to there religion because its expected, but like christians can't say im a christian or explain there views withotu other people annoyed and irritated even other christians and go on about how religion is an innapropiate subject. and then it comes to the point where spirituality can only be allow if its super general but super general spirituality is stereotype and it can't really help anyone. how can spirituality be innapropiate by the way. freedom of speech is undermined and compromised, the left mob will attack you, conservatives or liberals like to ruin the lives of the other party. people pretend to be social justice but people are actually really uptight and judgmental right now. and also cold and heartless. I dont care what people say, people may be more understanding or tolerant now on some things and really cold and heartless on other things. Its very nuanced. People in third world countries can be happier for what they have. We dont need to be depressed, its complicated though, on one hand we have everything we have easier way to survive and we have so much entertainment, but doe all that really matter if we dont love and understand our fellow human beings and take care of the world we inherit? I believe in being strong and defiant I could go on and on and I am not some far left communist or some far right person I think america can be the best but people keep holding it back

I know thats its political stuff and elite trying to divide people and cutlure drama but I wanna know why people are like this for a different reason, the right now why are people being like this without citing Politics or Elite Division because I know that part

We have the privilege to express our different views, and we have the freedom to not be punished for expressing said views. That’s led a lot of people to bolden their stances and not be open to other positions, especially if they believe they’ve done a lot of research and know what they are talking about.


Then you consider the US is so large, a lot of communities could have been separated for so long that their views have almost solidified into that region, and they’ve only recently started having conversations with people from different backgrounds and viewpoints.


People also hate change. It’s part of our nature, and things that are difference scare people, so their fight or flight response activates. They run and try to find others that share their beliefs for validation, or they fight and become aggressive over what they perceive as a threat.

What I said had nothing to do with whether minorities should speak out for their rights or not. I was discussing a proponent of human nature, of the general fear of the unknown- which is a developed survival instinct. Education helps decrease and even remove that fear, and leads to progress.

Yes most people are really uptight on some things ig it's bc of stereotypes religion has been seen as something like gay hating or bad. Actually a lot of people don't really care about what religion you are but they don't want to hear about it they already know what it's about... It's sad most doesn't want to hear ur views about it and hear ur opinion but most don't really care for it they only see that hateful part of it and when they only see that part then don't want to hear anything more about it so when you say those things that is what they think. It's not fair ofc not maybe you want to be able to express why you belive in what you belive in maybe they see it as a sort of invitation to religion and they don't like that. Spirituality honestly some people believe in it but it's mostly a trend it's a popular thing and it hasn't had anything hateful in it so they accept that more
