Why are some Americans so soft right now so much so that they cancel everything's?

I see most of my favorite people getting cancelled.
Recently Joe roganIs it a cultural thing? Where kids are not brought up properly with decent education about social behavior.

A good way to understand it is through this quote:

“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”

Right now we have weak men and women who grew up in good times the 80's, 90's and early 2000's that don't fully understand true hardship, sacrifice, patience and have less maturity to understand such things as agree to disagree. Or the old school liberal mindset from the quote “I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

In the past if people didn't like what others were saying or believed in they would debate, provide counterpoints and foster discussion. If they didn't want to engage they would simply not listen or financially support that person they disagreed with. A healthy and productive mindset that lets people focus on improving themselves and deal with people who have different points of view.

Now a days vocal opposition believes it is not enough to critique, criticize, not financially support or disagree now they want people censored, controlled and in the worse cases lose any ability to hold a job or make a financial living. The irony is the people who advocate for such practices either don't believe or haven't considered that such practices could be turned on them if they participate and help normalize it. It is sadly misguided at best and insidious at its worst. Basically, they believe in: I'm offended therefore I'm right. Which is a terrible mindset both to the self and others.

Thankfully I have been seeing more and more evidence in the past years that those who believe in such practices are in fact a vocal minority and regular folks are speaking out against them even if they are on different parts of the political spectrum. Hopefully the that trend continues.

First of all, it was the Republicans who started the cancel culture so I dont want to hear any bitching about the other side using it more effectively than they themselves managed to. That is just the whining of a sore loser who could not get over the consequences of their own thoughtless actions.

Secondly, "Canceling" someone has nothing to do with education or being soft. Its just a fact that they dont like something so they get something else AKA the foundation of capitalism where the customer has the freedom to choose and its the fault of the producer for losing the customer in the first place. You are not entitled to customers, you are supposed to compete for their attention and patronage.

So why are republican figures being cancelled? Because they are unpopular and lost in the game of capitalism. End of story.

I'd say Cancel Culture is problematic, but at the same token the reason a lot of people hate Rogan is because he spreads misinformation.

I liked his earlier content - like his interview with Paul Stamets - but everything in the last few years has just been Rogan falling down a conservative talking point rabbit hole. His show quality has gone way down.

He’s pro gay marriage. That’s historically a Liberal position.

He believes women should be welcomed into the workforce, receive equal pay for equal work, and that their contributions and intelligence should be respected. That was historically a Liberal position.
